An Ampharos finds himself in an odd, ominous place, definitely not the world he should be in. It would be best to find supplies for the night, and luckily, there seems to be a small cache in the wreck of some old car. Maybe he should have paid attention to the signs of danger.

First request was one that really got my mind stirring, Not sure if the requester wants credit so I'll leave that channel open, but I felt the urge to post a prequel image to the eventual animation. Mostly a proof of concept, but also to vent because this was a monster...

I spent half of the day fighting with the lighting engine to get a result I'm happy with, and I'm still far from that. The lighting in the animation will hopefully be worlds apart from this, but I'm just so fed up with waiting twenty minutes to half an hour only to discover the lighting rendered poorly with the environment. Trials of being a newbie I suppose.

Even with the challenge, this has been a really fun composition, and the animation will hopefully go much smoother. That will probably take a few days to animate and most time consuming, render. Maybe I should bite the bullet and switch over to EEVEE while still learning, though I don't always like that engine.


Anyway, enough ranting. Now time to throw it to the wolves for feedback.
