I wanted to do these sketches in honor of my grandfather that showed me Myst in the first place; whom passed away recently. Honestly, a lot of freaks have been coming out of my head since. It’s about time I set the brothers free of their respective books. And, to be real; my web comic is going to touch base on similar themes, like being a God, world-creation, very meta stuff, etc. I haven’t played the 4th or 5th game, but I do believe you get to see the worlds they’re imprisoned on. Of course, I imagine Sirrus as princely while Achenar may have been the brother that “went feral”. I think I was also subconsciously thinking about the Donbe character or whatever for his wild mane. If I were to imagine what they’re Jobs would be, Sirrus might be a “Luminary” while Achenar a Geomancer.

The creature below I also wanted to jot down quickly, as I’ve always thought about this concept. It actually kinda triggered a memory with my grandfather playing the 4th Monkey Island CD-ROM game, in which there was a task talking to two parrots; one always told the truth, the other only told lies. And my grandpa and I were just like: “aaaa this situation again”. Of course, the creature is a two-headed beast like the dudes in Labyrinth that was that concept, although I think instead of one being; the other guy was just flipped over behind the shield. I decided the call whatever they were a “Gemini”; perhaps a two heads lion or sphinx like that. I don’t know what to name him/them.
