On the second page, I flushed out the ideas I had for mounting it. Illustrating the concept actually helped me think better about what I'm trying to do.
Originally I thought of using a mounting plate like the Tail Company design. However, it occured to me that by using rope as the tail core, I would have the unique possibility to make the entire belt and strap out of the same single piece of material as the tail itself.
I ended up liking my 3rd idea best (lower right), and I'll refine this design more in the future. This will be a fun part of the project to work on!
