I'm intrigued, where does this food truck park?

Well, I'll be honest, I first saw this concoction visiting someone in Merrickville--a small town south of Ottawa on the Rideau Canal--at a food stand that called it "Your Wife is Pregnant" Poutine

naw, she's a rat so she'll try just about anything. plus rats really like fries I'm told

If they do, it's probably because it is from potatoes, as I've at time have seen pidgeons, house sparrows, crows and starlings eating fries that have been dropped onto the ground by people. Especially sparrows, they really seem to like them.

True. I live on the coast, and a seagull will grab a fry right out of your hand as you're putting it into your mouth. (Which is why if I eat fries, I always eat them inside the restaurant or my car.)

Oh, yeah. Seagulls are flying garbage disposal units. They'll eat almost anything.

Okay. Eating something that does tend to implant the idea of a pregnant woman's cravings. But, you're right. I should have immediately gone to the memory that rats will eat almost anything.

Right up to the Hot Garlic Ranch, and I would still like it better than a Hamburger.

Do not call "mayo on fries" poutine. This is the hill I die on.

I never said it was true poutine. Any Montrealer (particularly  henbe ) will tell you poutine is always fries, real cheese curd, and poutine sauce (not gravy)

Most folks around my neck of the woods (Eastern Connecticut) never even heard of poutine. The farther north you go the more likely you are to encounter it. I was at an antiques and collectibles swap meet in New Hampshire a few years ago (pre-COVID) and there was a food truck selling poutine plain or with your choice of beef or chicken gravy. Yeah, it was good! ALDI sold cheese curds for a while and I think I'm the only person who ever bought any.
