Once a freelance solo, Altyren became a loyal merc assassin for Arasaka. He knew the corp was the only thing standing between the NUSA over-running the rest of the Free Western States. He didn't mind the hatred that came from his former fellow mercs, he was always a solitary person after all, but Altyren knew the NUSA was merely a corpse propped up by Militech. His hatred for anything NUSA, and especially Militech, ran deep after their genocides in Asia. Serving the Emperor directly alongside figures such as Oda, Takemura, and Smasher apart of an inner circle of his, he holds no love for the company itself. Rather he embraces his role purely as a weapon against Militech and the NUSA, serving the company loyally so long as they give him fresh targets to eliminate. His sidegigs are usually spent on eliminating other solos or cyberpunks who the company sees as potential future Davids or V, and Tygerclaw bosses who step out of line. For leisure, aside from training, is spent running Death Squad units from the Arasaka's White Division as "field training" against the 6th street gang or Militech affiliated mercs, actively leading from the front. Clearing out entire Megablock floors and safe houses disguised as unaffiliated mercenaries, he has kept their gang down and Militech/NUSA agents constantly looking over their shoulders.
