One of the other side pieces, that I ended up discarding, was actually going to be John mentally cataloguing all the people he watched die and reflecting on the idea that if he makes it out that the survivors guilt will far outweigh any struggle he went through on the station.
In my defense I may had misread your comment when I wrote this and thought it said something about 721 not counting as a real person, my mistake, and honestly these candles are for everybody that died due to the outbreak to begin with, Maria, 721, Simone, Sibbern, Donald, Jay, Jaman, Marcy, Long Donk, and the rest of the station personnel that didn’t make it. This is their memorial, SO HOPEFULLY SOME CORPORATE @$$HOLES DON’T TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT!! (Who am I kidding the fu*kers are the ones funding the event in the first place)
