Here is the completed alcohol lamp that I had been working on. I had to finish a bit later than I intended due to the lack of copper sheet metal that was necessary to make the cap that goes onto the thing.
Here you can see a good photo of the thing in its entirety with the cap on and off as well is it being lit.
I seemed to have gotten much better at soldering since constructing the lamp head itself. My joints are almost seamless save for the part in the last picture. The heat of the soldering bit crept a bit far into the the rest of the area near the seam and made the solder run from it a bit, not an issue it's totally sound everywhere else.
The cap is to reduce the amount of alcohol evaporating out from the wick when the lamp is not in use.
The cap itself is made out of 4 parts, that I cut and formed from copper sheet or had wrought into shape from a piece of 4 gauge copper wire.
