A collection of stamp designs. I put these on the back of my cut-out commission I do for conventions.
I had gotten printmaking supplies as a Christmas gift, recalling my college course, figured it'd be a good thing to try.
Stamps are a nice way to add fanciness to the back of my artworks without much efforts.
2021 and prior, I had business cards I'd put on my arts, but I was unhappy with how it looked.
2022, got a stamp making set a few years prior, rather than have it lay around more years, I made a simple dragon.
2023, decided to be more personalized and make it a Caleb Lloyd!
2024, 4x6 was abit too large for what I was using the stamps for, so I made this one 4x3
2025, The stamp making kit had a 4x5 lithography block, so I tried making Oren in it, didn't work out as well as I'd like, so I made a standard 3x4
2026, Back to dragons! Kholestral makes an appearance as I try and show off scales. Certainly more intricate, but I'm not too happy with how much black there is to the design.
Where I go from here; I might try making future designs more in conversation with the medium. As is, I'm mostly just carving the digital image into a stamp, rather than adjusting it as we go. Carving out the rubber to make a design is pretty neat, but I haven't experimented enough to know what's good. --- With last year's stamps laying unused, I might try experimenting with those and see what's up.
