For starters, I did not spell bleu wrong. I'm using the French spelling of blue. I recently bought a patty press, and I've been making some burger recipes. When it comes to making a burger, the buns you use matter.
Ingredients for the BQQ Burger
Brioche buns (for both burgers)
For the BBQ sauce, I used Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce
French-fried onions (for both burgers)
Salt and pepper for seasoning
Butter and olive oil
Put some salt and pepper on a plate after you make your patties, and place them in the salt and pepper. Try to season both sides if you can. Next, add some butter and olive oil to your pan. Once those are ready, place your patties in your frying pan. As they cook, scoop some of the butter-and-oil mixture onto them. I cooked mine to medium-well, but you cook yours however you want.
Preparing To Build the BBQ
Lightly toast your buns or toast them to your liking.
Take your BBQ sauce, spread it lightly on the top and bottom buns.
Place your first patty on the bottom bun, and place 2 slices of cheddar cheese.
Place some of your fried onions on top.
Finish by placing the top bun on top.
Ingredients for the Bleu Cheese Burger
Bleu cheese crumbs
Spicy mayo (I made my own)
Spicy Mayo
1 TBSP of mayo
dash of cayenne pepper
dash of chilli powder
dash of pepper
a drop of hot sauce
Put some salt and pepper on a plate after you make your patties, and place them in the salt and pepper. Try to season both sides if you can. Next, add some butter and olive oil to your pan. From Chris: You can also stuff crumbled blue cheese into the burger and make it a "Juicy Lucy".
