It's difficult to say whether those initiated into magic are born with particular attributes
that make them more susceptible to coming into contact with the supernatural world,
or whether it is instead only a strong and profound desire for knowledge that allows them
to thoroughly study ancient and dusty tomes in order to draw on a power as ancient as it is powerful.
Perhaps, for Silva, the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
From an early age, the vixen had proven to be an avid consumer of books and scrolls of ancient knowledge,
and her arrival at the castle had been almost providential in cultivating her passion.
She still nostalgically remembers that winter day when, cold and shivering in the library,
she randomly rubbed her paws together to warm herself, causing a small spark to spring from them.
She was certain, it wasn't chemicals on her pawpads; she had wished for this to happen, and it did!
From there, the frantic search for a true formula to summon fire, the supreme primordial element,
the rebellious brother of the other three because, however powerful, it's extremely capricious and difficult to control.
Even now, after so many years, the vixen treats that element with respect and grace.
Her expert paws are now capable of summoning a demonic fire that perfectly counters Borgon's holy one, yet she herself knows that,
unlike her beloved prince, she absolutely cannot trust those flames, but must instead master them like a ferocious mastiff.
Tongues of fire capable of protecting their summoner and defeating their enemies, but which,
at the slightest hesitation, can turn on the very one who summoned them, consuming their body too in turn.
A thought that would shock many into avoiding casting such a spell in the future,
but Silva has instead taken it to heart as a kind of challenge.
One day, she will master that fire, making it as tame and controllable as her prince's.
And then, yes, then, she will be able to show it off even outside of battle,
so that everyone can see the lady who had mastered dark firebending.
And pointing at her they will say: "There she is, the grand enchantress~"____________________________
