In this page I expand on the concept of using elastic in the tail, to fully suspend it. The concern is that using a more restrained wire system could prevent proper tail movement. The idea here is to use the elastic as a sort of muscular system to hold the rope tail core at a predetermined point of equilibrium. The stretchy nature of elastic will allow it to sway with the body, and actually pull itself back and forth. It should also allow it to be held or pushed away from where it rests by an external force.

All very theoretical until I start testing it.
