Mind if I shoot you a technical question, Mr. Sam?
Just how hot is it under there :D ? ...but literally, I know fleece/polyester's a warm material, but would you say it makes the head a tad too warm? (I ask 'cause up here, fleece is a plentiful material, while good faux fur is...not)

Hey! No problem. :)
There's absolutely no difference in this case. Sam's head is balaclava/foam based so you get your heat from that, it doesn't matter as much what material it's covered with on the outside. Now the difficult part (or so I've heard since I don't actually build these things myself) is getting fleece to have a nice seamless look. Fur on the other hand is a lot easier to hide seams with.
I've always found fursuiting to be a sweat-your-ass-off-hot activity no matter what. One thing that you can do to help increase performance endurance is to have good airflow for breathing through the mouth. It will still be hot as hell, but being able to easily breathe fresh air and get more oxygen helps a lot!

Thank you, this's been very insightful, and I appreciate you took the time to reply!
I've heard before fleece's difficult to work with, more so than faux fur, but good airflow...I'll incorporate that into my super-secret design, again, thank you =) ! (and really, the whole mini-tutorial, helps an as-of-yet newbie get off the ground ;])
