Derpy is one of if not the most unique characters I've dragged into this series so far. A big part of Derpy's character is her happy-go-lucky clumsy personality, but she's far from idiotic, and can prove extremely productive and determined to get the job done right. All that culminated for a unique challenge for designing what she would look like amongst my other rave pony interpretations.

After some thought, I had an idea. I've seen a lot of scene kid themed ravey portraits that featuring characters wearing old fashioned baggy pants, along with a ton of cutsie kidcore accessories. As such, I've decided to make that the theme of Derpy's outfit. I think most of the charms and toy's she has strapped to the belt speak for themselves. Plus a friend of mine gave me the idea of a mix and match sort of style, something that reflects that more clumsy or ditsy part of her character. So I shook it up with an orange top contrasting the neon green of her pants. And of course I put muffins all over it because of obvious reasons. And finally, get her a boat-load of kandi bracelets, as I feel her collection would easily rival Pinkie's.

For the pose, I wanted to portray something fun, but somewhat clumsy to reflect how she has a habit of knocking into things. She would be an enthusiastic dancer, but much like her flying, there would be a disoriented factor to it, giving off a vibe of inexperience, but still vibing with the raver lifestyle regardless. In that regard, Derpy may be one of the better representations of rave culture in this form, as raves are bent to be fun and care-free environments. So who better to rep the scene than someone who just goes with the flow, regardless of how foolish they may seem, since that's kinda the fun of it half the time.
