A multi post break down of a recent post here it's gonna be pretty technical, a little dry, but lightweight. It just goes over my process with some tips. (there might be grammar error's I usually don't type this much)
If you're not familiar with Blender or Upbge here's a stockpile of youtubers I learned from about Upbge and Blender in general.
Blender Guru (the quintessential blender teacher, but check his oldest video's for context)
John Hamilton (good material shader tutorials)
ThaTimster (good tutorials and a resource for GLSL shaders)
<<FA Post Transcript>>
There's not much to the rig there, and there shouldn't be for any thing
that's going to be used in a game engine. I personally got into the
habit of using free floating bones to keep the hips and rear from turning into
a crumpled mess when posing the character for sitting.
The only notable quirk, though, is the Damped Track in the Bone Constraints.
At runtime it behaves exactly like a physbone component in Unity, BUT
only within the armature animation space. From what I've seen the Upbge's
Bullet Engine has no effect on the constraint. It does make for quicker animation not
having to manually animate secondary motions. The influence just has to be less than 1
for it to get a desireable effect.
