A little antithesis about the joke I constantly see / read among the auto mechanics, where their 10mm sockets
magically dissapear. Whether they drop it, and it goes to Narnia within the length of the valve cover to the exhaust
manifold. Or they reach for it where they put it down 0,03 seconds ago, and find find it's already gone. The funniest
ones where new socket sets open with the 10mm already missing. This little piece is to commemorate the three 10mm
sockets I've owned for nearly 20 years. A 1/2" drive 12 point and two 3/8 drives, one 6 points and another 12 points.
To be fair, they don't see much in the way of use. My most often used socket is the 9/16". But I haven't lost any of
those either. A few of them has even been around the world with me on various jobs. You could possibly imagine my
horror as I watch a seaman throw my 20+kg tool bag across a gap between two ships in rough seas, trusting his
counter part on the other side to catch it. (They're not even from the same company !)
So if you too are a mechanic, and love your tools like your childrens, why not give a shout out in the comments ?
