Yuki Chen is a beautiful Asian-American girl of Chinese and Japanese descent-turned were-panda.
Born in Kobe, Japan, Yuki Chen is the daughter of Joseph Chen, an Oscar-nominated martial arts movie star-turned chef and Linda Sakamoto, a motivational speaker/martial artist-turned chef. Yuki and her parents moved to Charlotte, NC, where they established Chen's Mongolian Grill & Supreme Buffet restaurant and lived in an apartment on top of it. At age 5, Yuki and her parents visited a local zoo, where she sees her favorite animals, pandas. Yuki jumped into the enclosure, and she hugs a panda, but she accidentally hugs it too much, so the panda retaliates by biting her in the arm. During a trip to the doctor, the doctor says it's just a normal panda bite. One night, the astral projection of panda warns Yuki of a terrible curse, when the full moon rises, she will change into a were-panda, and only True Love's First Kiss will break the spell. And Yuki turns into a were-panda and goes on a rampage at night by stealing bamboo from stores. The next morning, Yuki wakes up with no memory of the events. Yuki looks at the news report about the were-panda strike, and Yuki runs back to the bedroom and realizes that she's the were-panda the whole time, and she decided to keep a secret from everyone, and even tried to avoid looking at the full moon, and even pictures of it. 23 years later, Yuki met the snobbish Lance Kankel, son of a ruthless hunter named Gunpowder Gary Kankel, and she became engaged with him, but realizes that he's a jerk. Yuki then flies to Africa to film a documentary about the unlovable wildlife such as the Nile crocodile, the Black-necked spitting cobra, the lion, and the Savannah monitor. Lance Kankel showed up with his father, and Yuki tries to stay away from him. Yuki then films some sleeping leopards. A monkey suddenly appears, and inflates a balloon and threatens to pop it. Despite Yuki's best efforts to stop it, the monkey pops the balloon anyway, and Yuki mocks it, only for the leopards to awake anyway and chased Yuki and Lance. After Lance gets knocks out by a tree branch, Yuki gets cornered by an army of leopards, including a little cub, and Bingwa, a panda bear raised by apes, swoops in on a vine to rescue Yuki, only to get smacked by a tree, thus knocking her out cold. Bingwa then takes Yuki to his treehouse, and Yuki wakes up to see some animals talking. Bingwa then shows Yuki the beauty of the jungle and teaches her how to swing on the vine. Bingwa loves how beautiful Yuki is, and the Loincloth Trio, Lingyan the Red Panda, Bruno the Coati, and Kenji the Tanuki gives him some romantic advice. Bingwa tries to woo Yuki by making funny faces, throw leaves up in the air, and hooting in a dominant fashion, but Yuki leaves in disgust. Bingwa and Yuki started to bond with each other and they dance. But when the sun sets, Yuki hides in the cave, and at night, she turns into a were-panda and tries not to reveal her secret. The next day, Yuki wakes up and she sings with a songbird, only for her to sing powerful enough to cause it to explode, and she takes the eggs and cooks them for her, Bingwa, and the trio. Lance and his father arrived in the jungle, and he tries to convince Yuki to go home, but Yuki says she's staying in the jungle forever. Gunpowder Gary looks at some elephants, and he plans to shoot them and mount their heads on his wall, and then sell some ivory, only for Bingwa's adopted ape parents, Franco and Vivi to tell them to run. Gunpowder Gary is shocked about the sight of talking gorillas, and he tries to tranquilize them for a fortune. Bingwa runs to stop him, only for Lance to accidentally shoot him by mistaking his real gun for a novelty lighter. However, Bingwa survived because... he's the hero. With Lance in jail and Gunpowder Gary deported. Yuki takes Bingwa and the Trio on a plane ride to Charlotte, NC to get some medical treatment. Yuki brings Bingwa to her apartment on top of her parents' Chinese-Japanese restaurant, Chen's Mongolian Grill & Supreme Buffet. Yuki introduces Bingwa to her parents, Joseph Chen and Linda Sakamoto. Bingwa is introduced to noodles, and he loves eating them, from Lo Mein, to Yakisoba, to Ramen, to Udon. Yuki tells her parents that she doesn't need to marry Lance Kankel anymore, and they don't mind it. Yuki tells Bingwa to stay in the apartment as she leaves to meet her friends. Yuki visits her friends' house, and realizes she's in the engagement party, and Yuki tells them that she cuts off her engagement with Lance. Yuki watches a news report about Bingwa saving two boys in a rock quarry, and Yuki rides her ATV to see this. Yuki witnessed Bingwa defeating a dragon, and Yuki comes down to check her friend, who became a celebrity by fighting monsters. While Bingwa is overwhelmed by fame and gets tackled by some screaming fan girls, Yuki used her martial arts skills to beat them up. Yuki takes Bingwa to a Korean BBQ/Hot Pot restaurant. They nearly kiss until the Trio reminds them to look at that sunset. Yuki then runs out of the restaurant and returns to her bedroom, where she transforms into a were-panda. The Trio follows her and was shocked to see Yuki as a were-panda. Yuki explains them about the curse. After defeating Scarypants, Bingwa returns and tries to express his feelings, only to hear Yuki talking about no one loving a hideous creature. Thinking Yuki to talking about him, Bingwa decided not to be with her. Bingwa and the Trio leave to go back to Africa to save his ape parents from Gunpowder Gary, and he leaves a note. The next day, Yuki reads a note, and she says goodbye to her parents, and she flies back to Africa to tell the truth to Bingwa. As Bingwa is about to get shot by Gunpowder Gary, Yuki swings on a vine and kicks Gary, and she fights an army of poachers. Yuki tries to tell the truth, but Bingwa says that she don't need to love a hideous creature. After Bingwa sends Gary packing, Lance arrives and reveals that he escaped jail, joined a cult, and become a mail-order minister, and he kidnaps Yuki to he can marry her. At the pop-up wedding chapel, Lance tries to marry Yuki, only for Bingwa to make the biggest swing in jungle history, powerful enough to smash a tree, causing it to fall and destroy the chapel, and Bingwa tells Yuki not to marry Lance, who slips that he wants to marry her for the money. As the full moon rises, Yuki turns into a were-panda in front of everyone, and Bingwa is relieved and Lance is disgusted, and he tries to kill the two pandas, only for Bingwa to send him packing. Bingwa and Yuki then share true love's first kiss, but Yuki is permanently a were-panda, and she's concerned that she's supposed to be beautiful, but Bingwa tells her that she's beautiful the whole time. Bingwa and Yuki then get married in a wedding ceremony, with the people of Charlotte, Yuki's parents, the animals of Africa, and Bingwa's ape parents in attendance. Bingwa and Yuki then gave birth to three children, Bingwa Jr., Kimi, and Prentis. And they lived happily ever after.
