This is the Fox-Widow – Milushka. She lived alone with her son, a fox cub, deep in the forest, a quiet and peaceful life, until one day, while gathering firewood, they came across a human girl dying of cold.
They fed her and warmed her up. It turned out that the local men had driven her out of her own home. With no one to stand up for the orphan, she had gone into the forest to seek her death. The widow thought about it. She decided to help the girl. She gave her a enchanted piece of coal. Whatever she drew would come to life. "Go to your hut," she said, "and draw some scary animals on the fence, and they will drive the villains out of your house." And so it happened. The fox helped the girl and returned her house there. And the Fox felt so sorry for the orphan that she periodically visited the girl, introducing herself as an aunt from a distant village.
