Job Search Tip 10: Apply Directly to the Company
Recruiting firms don't always do a good job with sending forward applications. I have gotten a call back two months after submitting an application telling me that the recruiting firm never sent forward applications (and if I was still available). Apply directly, cut out the middle person.

That can be true. For example, smaller companies may use indeed for their hiring platform. Indeed has created some HR tools that help them manage their application pool. You won't fine a career page on the company website, in those cases.
