Commission from Convexpert

Ever since I learned (and when got to see) that Madagascar was coming back to theaters for its 20th Anniversary, I knew I had to do something special for Gloria. So I got together with my good friend Gusherhead and we put together this!

For those who don’t know, Gloria was actually originally conceived by the filmmakers as pregnant, which even showed in the concept art and animation too (with how big her belly is in some shorts compared to other movies). Gloria was part of some breeding program, and would’ve given birth during the final act, presumably after the fight with the Foosa. This was scrapped during production due to test audiences disliking the idea. Because of this, her pregnancy was scrapped entirely, and her relationship with Melmen would be explored in the two sequels.

This is a shame for someone like me of course, but I’ll admit one of the main characters being pregnant without any thematic connection to Alex or Marty would’ve felt kinda left field, as they are the main focus of the first movie’s story first and foremost.

That said, I’ve already done a few commissions exploring what if they had kept that idea in (and there’s more to explore in that regard). For this one, I’m asking another question.

What if Gloria and Moto Moto stayed together? Gloria and Melmen would find a way to shake it as friends, but Moto Moto and Gloria would quickly make do, and Gloria would soon find herself getting bigger, chunkier, and….kickier?

Now very much aware that he’s been knocked up by Moto Moto, she lounges about her new home in Africa, being tended to by all manner of creature until the day comes that the calves are to be born. With how much her already rotund figure as bloated and extended out before her eyes, it can’t be too much longer…
