Is that a laptop with the screen removed? Looks kinda neat whatever it is.

When I saw the thumbnail, the lighting made me think it was a pic from an abandoned building.

its a server keyboard, one of those pull out draw kind, an HP server keyboard.

I've wanted one of those for my server rack for years, but the type I need (with the screen built in) is way too expensive still.

I left the screens behind because I didn't need them and they weren't like the touchpannels I had already, had I known id be kicking myself in the ass, I would have taken the display half of them too. :(

They came in HUGE boxes for the size of the thing, you would think they were slices or something, thats mostly why I didnt have the room for them in the van :p

Every time I think I've found one, it ends up going for like $250, even used. And buying anything rackmount new is absurdly expensive... Even blank 4U plates are like $40 each.

Yeah I still kick myself for it, cuse they were new in box but didnt fit in the racks, so we had to put monitors on top of the racks instead, and leave the new pull-outs behind for whoever wanted em, I had a van full of touch pannels of the same resolution, with stands and almost new, not NEW like the rack stuff but new enough, I only took the two keyboards because I wanted to make some Mame cabinets witch i still have to do, still got one new in box keyboard and the hardware for this one is somewhere around here so i still kinda win that round.
I still have no real use for pull out monitors, but I do wish I grabbed em because I coulda given them to some of my friends who have racks, :/
