Yay! More practice with SAI and I think I'm starting to get the hang of it a little better now. At least insofar that this is my favorite picture to date done in SAI so that counts. :D Otter dude hoping you'll be his friend and give him hugs and cuddles and foot rubs! *DERPS* But really I'm pretty pleased with the results. :)

I don't know. For a cartoon style, it is nice and shows the fur. You are spiking it just at the right points that would show fur sticking out, like the cheeks, the chin, shoulders, Knees and chest. I guess it depends if you are striving for more cartoonish or more realistic.
Yeaaaaaaaah, I guess not. I just get down about it sometimes. Seeing those damn 17 year olds that've only been drawing for a year or two and already doing amazing work can be a bit discouraging sometimes. I know you should never compare yourself to others and everyone moves at their own speed, blah blah blah. Still can be annoying. Heh.
