Snow. You love it - or, well, maybe you don’t - everyone loves it (sort of) - your Pokemon loves it. Or, well - maybe not really. Fire Pokemon and snow tend to mix about as well as oil and water, so it’s not really any surprise that placeholder2, a particularly spoiled Growlithe, would rather much prefer to cuddle up with his owner inside of a nice hot house on such a cold day. In and of itself, this really wouldn’t be anything bad… But when said house and its radiators are as hot as they are, coupled with a particular ability called Flash Fire, it might just mean that the ordinarily small and cute Pokemon is going to become anything but small - though definitely not anything but cute…




Eurgh, it’s almost a year and a half since I wrote The Height of Summer - in my defence, I did spend the last while working through a giant, still-existent WiPs list even if it meant my intention to write more stuff with big ‘mons kind of fell by the wayside for a while. Still, here’s another story with a big ‘mon - it might not be as long or as in-depth as The Height of summer, but hopefully it’s still a fun little read!
