Just some fun scenes that my Amtgard buddies were happy to help with to see the armor in a more 'actiony' pose. Thanks to Gorakul (blue), Riptide (floor), and đ°đŚđŻđŚĆđŻ (Floor in the previous submissions) for helping with the pictures :D

Well historically that was a technique with a lot of names but I know it as half-swording. Which is where one would hold the blade, glove or gauntlet recommended, either just with one hand to give you more fine control and allow you to put more direct force behind stabs and slices;

Or to hold the sword entirely 'backwards' which lets you swing around the crossguard and pommel. Generally used to swing those often reinforced and solid pieces of metal into other metal. A blunt point (crossguard) or small blunt mace (pommel) would do more damage to hard armor and the person under it compared to a thin blade which could easily slide off or be deflected;

So for example in the picture above I would be using it to more carefully stab right to the heart and be able to push straight 'forward' with a hand on the pommel and the blade being guided with my other hand.
