I empathize ... my mother was/is the same... Tho she didn't disown me, I was forced to play happy family & to this day, she's still in denial. I actually have to fly home this week to comfort her as said person has been in the hospital for wks now.. I feel pretty numb about the whole thing, so no idea how it'll go. Wish me luck I guess.
