I urgently need to add Realism! My perfectionism won't let me rest! Remember, guys. Perfectionism is a disease, when the biggest enemy with the highest expectations stands in your way – yourself.
3 years have passed.
A simple joke about my wife looking like Maid Marian has turned into a full-fledged ballad, filled with historical analysis, self-analysis, reflection, and tenderness toward the image of a fairy-tale Mistress.
Not least thanks to those who watched it happen. Because it was fun and amusing.
But it’s time to rethink a few things.
- Absolute my real face.
- Canon Byzantine cloak.
- Norman dress from the Sherwood Story for vix.
- A completely different atmosphere.
One of my comrades pointed out that the first version differs fundamentally from the new one in its message.
If in the old painting Pavel looks rather threatening and his uncertain hands are laid on the shoulders of a young vixen as if he’s afraid to wake up and lose the dream, then now it’s an absolute reflection of reality and a family atmosphere of comfort.
The black figure of Pavel is not looming menacingly - it is as if he is shielding Marian behind him.
Both are confident and relaxed - this is an entirely different meaning and message.
By doing so, I declare that I am absolutely certain of my actions and we couldn’t care less about the condemning stares of the peasant crowd.
We have left abstract prejudices behind and are uniting our worlds.Of course, even back then I embedded secret meanings in the still life - every object carries some significance, just like in Dutch painting.
Some items can be interpreted in two ways.
But an art historian would smile and say: "You were in a playful mood, Pavel!"
No, I’m simply playing along with vixen desires, ladies and gentlemen. As Tolkien said: “Disney destroys everything it touches.”
- No problem! We’ll fix it!
That is exactly why I’ve been boldly working with Disney’s Robin Hood for 3 years now, filling childish candy with adult meanings.
Of course, Tolkien would probably say that Pavel is obsessed with strange things and his motivation is far too peculiar. What does it mean to “be with a vixen”?
In reality - it’s all jokes.)
We’re here dealing with historical stuff and old ballads.
The chapter “Formal Dinner” is about to start soon, and I hope you’re ready for lore-heavy conversations with Prince John and his pack.
