Biography: Long ago, when the Vikings first crossed the Atlantic to North America, wolves came with them. Some settled in the wilds, meeting native wolves in that region, and diversifying packs all over the continent. Within the lands that would one day become Jasper, a battle broke out between the Ancestral Spirits, and the Norse Gods for control. During this brief war, Thor was incapacitated by a powerful spirit, and Odin, desperate, transferred Thor and Mjolnir’s power into a loyal wolf named Garm. Garm then won that battle single-handedly with his new abilities. The war ended in a stalemate, but Garm refused to have his power taken and given back to Thor. He turned against the Allfather and retreated, terrorizing and charming packs that he came across, even taking a few mates before eventually, Forsetti, Tyr, and Heimdal were able to find and subdue Garm, banishing him to Helheim. Whole those powers were given back to Thor, the power was also given to one of the wolves he’d mated with, and one of the resulting pups inherited this power…..
Many generations passed, and Kate was born as the golden child of Winston and Eve. Her story is much like how we all saw it in Alpha and Omega (2010). Being raised to lead while behind her back, her marriage to Garth was arranged. Before Kate’s return from her last winter of alpha training, her powers began to manifest as bursts of unnatural strength and speed. Winston noted these, but at Eve’s request, didn’t tell Kate that she was born with such amazing power. Only when the time was right, would Eve, who also possessed these abilities, would tell Kate of her heritage.
Kate soon found out about her father’s deal with Tony, and while she was very disheartened and angry that it was done behind her back, she accepted her duty to keep her family safe, and went to meet Garth, while having to regretfully give her old friend Humphrey the cold shoulder after promising to howl with him that night. While Garth was good natured enough, Kate disappeared to tell Humphrey that she needed him to give her and Garth space, and just before she could tell him why, both were tranquilized by a pair of powerful aliens known at Serpents.
The Serpent Empire had been at war with Earth and the Solar Federation for many years, and when Kate’s powers awoke, their Emperor Kumori, felt it. Taking his two strongest minions and traveling to Earth, he coveted Kate‘s power, and learned of her situation. Wishing to test her, he ordered Cloak and Dagger to take Kate and Humphrey to Idaho. As they journeyed back, they faced several attacks from the two powerful aliens, and Kate, her powers waking up more and more, was able to repel them each time until they got on the train back to Jasper. Here, Kate and Humphrey finally confessed their feelings just before arriving home. When they got there, Kate attacked Tony outright for attempting to invade her home and made her powers known. Eve immediately stepped in and talked her down, but Tony, who knew about Kate’s powers already, put on a show to make others think he didn’t, and forced Kate to declare her willingness to marry Garth. Humphrey and Lilly understood, but were heartbroken, while the other wolves were amazing by Kate’s power.
That night, Eve took Kate to a secret cave, and finally caught her up on the history of their family. After Garm went in his rampage, many feared wolves, especially humans. For generations, those born from Garm’s bloodline kept their powers a secret, only releasing them in moments of crisis to defend their families and home from destruction. Eve could sense the presence of the powerful Kumori, and began to show Kate how to properly channel and use her powers, as the fight ahead would be a difficult one, but not one she’d have to face alone. That night would be the night Kate learned to fly.
The next morning, Kate attended the wedding, ready to face her responsibilities, as well as face the aliens if they came to interfere. However, in that moment, she realized that with her powers, she didn’t need to give into Tony’s demands, and didn’t need to be afraid to use her power to inspire (and maybe force) change. Kate refused the ceremony, and confessed with Garth that they both had their hearts set on another. Tony was enraged, and was about to order his wolves to attack, but then, the Serpents arrived. Kumori appeared to Kate for the first time, and revealed that he’d been working with Tony to make sure all wolves would be present to hear his words. Kumori proposed that Kate join the Empire. To help him spread peace across the galaxy. Kate refused, even when Humphrey was brought forward by Kumori’s minions and used as a bargaining chip. Together with her mother, Kate defeated the threat, killing the two minions and sending Kumori hurling back into space where he was wounded and rescued by his ship.
The battle wasn’t without casualties. Wolves from both sides were killed, and Tony was killed by the serpent Dagger before he could accept Kate’s ideas of personal freedom. In his last words however, he gave Garth and Lilly his blessing. After that, Kate and Humphrey began their relationship too, with Garth and Lilly marrying to bind the packs together.
After that, Admiral Tempest Shadow of the Solar Federation came to Jasper to recruit Kate into her new Task Force to help defend the Earth against the Serpents. This lead to many new adventures, both on and off Earth, where Kate would cement herself as one of the galaxy’s greatest heroes. Eventually, she’d have three pups with Humphrey as her first litter. Their names would be Alan (Runt), Travis (Stinky), and Kathryn (Claudette).

Powers and Abilities: Having the powers of Thor naturally formed within her, she doesn’t need any weapons or gear to properly use her abilities. Kate can generate an incredible amount of electrical energy, can fly at over supersonic speeds both in atmosphere and in space, has enough strength to lift anything from buildings, starships, and even kaiju. Her mind is particularly sharp too, able to analyze snd strategize in high stress situations, as well as perform telepathy, giving her and wolves she chooses to be able to communicate with humans without the use of a vocoder. Kate can also make objects and individuals move without touching them. Most effective is her durability. Kate can shrug off most ballistic weapons, but can still be harmed by high powered energy, and isn’t immune to powerful drugs or magic. One of her more notable feats was participating in a space battle above earth while she was very far along with her pups, and was still as strong as she ever was, only sustaining minor injuries to herself while the pups were completely safe and unharmed inside of her.
————————————
Personality: Despite being born in what amounts to a position of loyalty, Kate was not raised like the average Princess. Selected to be the future leader and an alpha, Kate spend her childhood being trained to hunt and kill animals much bigger than her, and to survive in the harsh wilderness of Canada. Despite the struggle to survive, her family and herself never lost sight of feeling love and compassion for their fellow pack members, and the whole western pack felt like one big community. Kate, through her almost lifelong friendship with the orphaned pup Humphrey, empathized with omega wolves, believing that they could be just as capable as any alpha if given the chance. Winston himself believed this too, and utilized omegas, treating them with utmost respect unlike most other pack leaders. When Kate used her powers to enact a social change within the pack society, making it so that the class system was discarded to a more merit based approach to roles in the pack, so that any wolf could love another wolf, Winston didn’t try to stop her, especially with the regret he had in arranging her marriage behind her back.
Kate loves to be active, whether it’s hunting with her pack without using her powers, or flying around the earth and exploring every nook and cranny she can find while listening to music. Other times, she’ll spend time with her family and friends she’s made during her adventures. While she and Garth never got married, they’ve ended up growing a very string sibling bond regardless.
Kate never involves herself in human affairs, not completely trusting their kind for the many atrocities committed against wolves by humans over the years, resenting many folk tails made up about her kind that serve to demonize them. Kate will still defend the earth and its inhabitants with her life, and with hesitate to save innocent humans, though won’t hesitate to kill poachers and other ill-intentioned humans if the circumstances present themselves.
Overall, Kate is a courageous force for both the defense of Earth and its inhabitants, but also a force for social progress and kindness to those in seemingly lower positions. Most of all, Kate represents freedom in its truest form, with her only true loyalty being towards her loved ones. Kate is truly worthy of her awesome powers…
