I was recently asked about the ancestors of umin and then I got carried away and developed a whole subspecies of "dino" umin—rather, the ancient ancestors of umin, referred to as umiae!

This is "Alph," a community "character" that anyone can use. They have the common ("default," if you will) appearance of umiae, and multiple can be drawn as background/cameo characters or mentioned for character stories. They do not represent one character, but instead represent any generic umius.
