Happy three years, Pizza Tower!! I have a digital drawing lined up, too, but i finished this one last night and i wanted to share it her as well. Crane Wife 1 has been a big inspiration for the relationship between Faepino and Alfredo for a while now, so of course i based this drawing off of it!
Long story short: Faepino, being a doppelganger, has to change who he's copying when the person he's copying dies or if he's grievously injured. When they first met, Faepino was copying a guy named Curly, and went by the nickname Not-Curly. He'd been pretty badly burnt after the mansion he and Curly both worked at burned down, so he and Bruno (who's a separate character in my AU, as y'all have seen) were in the process of moving to The Pig City, while Faepino was sort of in between forms due to everything that had happened. But while Bruno was sleeping in the car, Faepino stopped by Peppino's Pizza. He went in to get some food, and Alfredo noticed how disheveled and exhausted he looked. Alfredo, of course, couldn't let someone go hungry in a state like that! Faepino ordered a personal pan pizza, but Alfredo gave him some free breadsticks on the side as well. With the restaurant being almost completely empty on such a cold winter night, they ate together and talked in sign language for a long while. It was the first real kindness Faepino had received since the mansion burned down.
Faepino noticed, too, that Alfredo's hand was bandaged and stained with blood. Alfredo lied and said it was just because he'd cut it while making a pizza earlier in the day, too ashamed to admit he'd been scrubbing his hands so hard they bled.
Either way, just before Faepino returned to the car, their hands touched, and Faepino absorbed a little bit of Alfredo's blood. And from that moment, he knew Alfredo was exactly the type of person he wanted to be.
No matter how much Pizzahead's scientists would eventually try to convince him otherwise.

In my mind Alfredo is the type of person that refuses to leave anyone behind or let anyone go hungry, and that's why he saved everyone and gave them free pizza after the events of the game, hehe :3 despite being very anxious and easily angered, he's very kind at his core. and even the simplest acts of kindness can mean everything when you've been through as much as Faepino had.
