Here's the cover for my latest book Heart of the Oasis, featuring the jackal-headed Goddess of death, Anput. This is another piece from long-time friend and collaborator SickJoe, who has once again outdone himself with all of the detail and style that’s packed into this cover. I wanted something very vibrant and colorful, with very fantastical themes, and he did an absolutely stellar job. Make sure you zoom in and check out all of the little touches that are packed into the jewelry and foliage. We were heavily inspired by the artist Roger Dean, who has done much of the artwork for the band Asia.
