If your lamb was raised by wolves, then an enemy like Marchosias must've given her some complicated feelings, especially given how the battle against Marchosias plays out.
Honestly, its a wonder your version of Abas ever believed in anything Marchosias said, especially considering how badly she was treated by Marchosias' servants.

Yeah, the whole situation with Marchosias is pretty rough with my Lamb, given that I imagine she'd be trying to find some path to peace/perhaps work out a trade deal for Rotburn and Charged Shards so that she didn't have to infringe on his territory, but I think Marchosias would be throwing them back in her face.
I think Abas started out believing what he preached, but her suffering and then Lamb's subsequent good treatment of her kinda shattered that. I do imagine though she had a period right after arriving in the cult of 'this is too good to be true' and thinking that perhaps there's just no safe haven. But Lamb gonna feed her so many foods and give her a special outfit and everything

I can see Marchosias rejecting those trades. Sometimes i wonder where his vehement hatred of gods comes from, perhaps he was wronged in the past by a deity akin to the bishops...
Makes sense, i can imagine that Abas' own horrid treatment at the hands of her previous captors combined with the lambs kindness would cause her to spiral a bit, considering the aforementioned shattering of beliefs. Another case where this could happen is with the three dog brothers you recruit from Marchosias. One of the three is shown to be mute due to an illness that hit him as a pup, and yet after being saved by the lamb, that brother finds his voice again. On a side note, the absolute joy in his reaction is very heartwarming to me.

My take on why Marchosias is constantly demanding stuff from Lamb is that Ewefall is kind of a terrible place to live with a lack of sufficient food and material. But I think his pride and convictions about Gods would have him denying her trade offers, even if she were to just say 'hey I'll just give you this'. I think he deffos suffered at the hands of some God, as it seems all his generals/minibosses did in some way based on their dialogues before their battles. It's a pity that he let his convictions twist him into becoming almost as cruel as the Gods he stands against, though.
I do love the dog brothers! (Even if one of them spawned with the trait that makes them throw hands all the time, lol) In my AU Lamb gives them all one of the shared houses so they can stay together even within the bounds of her cult. Also, there's a fun tidbit about the actual cause of Nestor's muteness in one of the Woolhaven lore tablets!

If thats the case then i can't help but wonder why Marchosias would come there in the first place. As far as i know, he and his free pack are not native to Ewefall, they took control of the mountain after Yngya's passing. So why come to such a miserable place, unless Marchosias was looking for something, or there was something else about the mountain that drew Marchosias there. Well, whatever the reason, it must've been a pretty good one if Marchosias was willing to stay put, even as the Rot consumed Ewefall, making things even worse for his free pack.
Had to reread my unlocked lore for a sec because i did actually miss that at first. I'm guessing you're referring to research notes 2? The implications of both sets of notes are that Marchosias' own brand of "liberation" involves more than rescuing/dissuading from faith. The idea that the brothers were under the impression that Nestor's muteness was caused by Kallamar implies that Marchosias was able to modify their memories upon their "liberation", erasing the fact that he had accidentally disfigured one of them. I can imagine all three brothers, especially Nestor, being quite furious with Marchosias once Lamb reveals the truth. For me, Nestor in particular spawned with the Snoring trait, luckily i already had a bed separate from the residential area for cases just like that. I plan on having that trait removed so he can sleep with his brothers.

I'm thinking after killing Yngya, Ewefall mountain fell out of bounds of any of the four Bishops territories, so it was one of the few places in the Lands of the Old Faith where Marchosias set up shop without having them interfere with his business. For a true zealot of nonbelief like he is, I think he'd view the trade-offs of living somewhere dangerous and food-barren as being worth it.
And yeah! The brothers blaming Kallamar but the reveal that it was actually Marchosias fucking around and finding out with Nestor was so sad to read. I think Lamb would debate about if she should tell the brothers or not, but ultimately would under the logic that she'd be upset to have something like that kept from her. And my Lamb heavily dislikes Kallamar for a long time lol (she took his comment about 'kill shamura, not me!' personally, sibling bonds are very important to her) so for her to be like 'sorry guys, your anger at Kallamar is misplaced' would be a big step forward for her in her own growth. And god, I'm so glad for the trait change mechanic because even if it's a bit more rng than I'd like it to be, I'm so glad I can make people stop fucking snoring

In line with your previous comments, perhaps the lack of resources led to the bishops not having any interest in ewefall, there was nothing in it for them. As such, i can perhaps see why Marchosias may have chosen ewefall despite the conditions.
And there's another thing our lambs would have in common, as my Lamb also highly values sibling bonds, having once had a younger sister he absolutely adored. As you might imagine, her death hurt more than even his parents deaths. Out of the four bishops, Heket is the one my Lamb despises the most, mainly due to the fact that she had the aforementioned sister killed right in front of Lambert while he was helpless to do anything, having been restrained by cultists. He even begged heket to take his life instead, but heket met that request with a cruel grin and the order to proceed. My lamb never really forgave Heket for that, even after the old wounds questline, but he does end up letting go of his hatred for her.
Yeah, i'm also happy trait changing is a thing now, thankfully you can remove or at least lessen the rng with upgraded versions of the altar used for it.

My Lamb also lost one of her wolf brothers due to the Old Faith, having to see him pierced with an arrow when the cultists snuck up on them as they were fishing. Luckily, her other brother managed to get away, so she still has some family left. The Bishops not being physically present is one of the reasons my Lamb is able to move past things with them more easily, even if the cultists were acting on the Bishop's orders, not having them actually there helped out a bit.
I see, it's good he survived. I wonder if Marchosias tried recruiting the wolf brother into his free pack. As for my Lamb, his sister did end up returning to him. She had been resurrected by a splinter of the old faith whom wanted to, in their own way, replicate Lambert. Figuring that, if a Lamb destroyed the old faith, then another could rebuild it. Obviously, things did not turn out as they planned.
As for the splinter faction thing, a post-main story headcanon i have is that the deaths of the four bishops created a power vacuum, due to none of them having chosen successors. This power vacuum shatters the old faith into dozens of smaller factions, all of which begin fighting to reclaim the lands the old faith once controlled. The chaos from this succession war is basically my explanation as to why the lands of the old faith seem to only get more dangerous after the bishops end.
