Marie Skoville graduated from college with degrees in Tactical Engineering and Programming. It sounds cool, but it surprisingly doesn't offer a lot of job opportunities to pay off student debt.
Marie was stuck working odd jobs until her best friend, a brilliant apothecary and alchemist, took her in. Marie was beyond thankful to have a steady roof over her head. It gave her the opportunity to broaden her horizons a bit.
Marie always admired her friend's potion making skills and wanted to be like her. The only problem was, Marie had less than 0 affinity for it. She was just a magical disaster waiting to happen. On one occasion, she disobeyed her friend's warnings when making a potion. It was supposed to be a potion to make the threads of her clothes tear resistant. She just wanted to stop her clothes from tearing... But she got mutated permanently into a silkat instead.
It wasn't all bad though. Eventually, she managed to move out of her friend's home. The kitty was even able to get her own apartment. Turns out being able to climb walls and spin webs like a spider makes you a really good thief and kidnapper. Not exactly legal but it pays the bills.

Abilities:
- Being an artificial silkat rather than a normal born one, Marie is a little strange. Despite having no fangs, she does have paralyzing venom. It is in her saliva, like a Komodo dragon and bacteria. It lets her deliver her venom through a bite or a kiss,
- Residual magic in her blood makes her very resistant to things like sickness, toxins, drugs etc. It also "eats away" at magic that is used on her. Any spell, charm or curse put on her doesn't last very long, even if it is meant to be permanent.
- Like a spider, she can climb walls with the pads of her hind paws and fingers and she can spin webs from her tail.
- She is extremely agile, even more so than the average feline.
- (not a power so much as a random fact) Marie is on the Autism spectrum and has ADHD
