The lightning flashes and the thunder that follows sends a ripple of fear through her. Her pale body trembles in the flashing light and he notices. Flinching again at another roll he came to her. Holding her close...drawing her near, finding her soft little jumps at the thunder endearing. His strong arms closed about her and she felt his warmth against her. He would protect her from what she feared. It warmed her heart, that simple gesture, and she found comfort in his arms as the storm raged on.
