Recently, we bought a new rug, being that the old one was to the point of having multiple holes in it. As soon as it was set in place, I looked down and saw a huge dragon. Since that time, we have seen all sorts of images within the print. This is why we dubbed it the Rorschach Rug, after the famous ink blot test.
This is Kona laying in one of her favorite spots (the rug is short hair, but very soft). Right in front of her you can see the Fox laying there, pretty much right in front of my chair. Of course I like that image the best.
Life is full of surprises.

Ha! I know exactly what you mean. When I was about ten, my dad put up plastic tiles around the bathtub. I learned all sorts of things like, put the first row down the center and build out from there, and what 'mastic' and 'grout' were. We had vinyl shower and window curtains; I recall they were a seahorse pattern but I've always been very visual. As an IBS-D sufferer, I spent hours studying those tiles. Every tile was completely different, the patterns created by swirls of color in the styrene. After only a few days, pictures started to jump out at me. A boy's face, a thunder cloud; but the ghost horse was most vivid. Everyone in the family could see that one.
Last year, I bought a pack of interlocking black foam rubber flooring mats. No installation required; put the 'puzzle mats' together and push them into position by the stove and sink. It came with a set of edges to cover the jigsaw sides. Well, all three dogs have discovered that it's warm in the Winter and cool in the Summer. It's hard to cook (or feed them) because they flock there -- and the two boys are over 60 pounds each. I have to set a door gate in the hallway to keep them out of the way at 'dinner time'!
