also known as the progenitor of the sun, helios is the guardian of the island of the sun: an impassible island surrounded by cliffs that is home to helios' cattle (a group of sea lions).
it has the power to open a gateway called the vortex, allowing safe passage between the world above the waves and below by using the orb that floats around its tail. too bad one of the calves won't give it back!
i went into the 30th with the idea that i'd make a pumpkin carving no matter who i got and honestly, rolling a sun god was the most perfect option i could have possibly had hoped for! it turned out awesome!!! i had a lot of fun with it even if it took me all day to plan and execute. the most satisfying part was seeing it actually glow at night.
