How is it going!!!
Okay, this is my last upload for a bit because I’m gonna start allocating all of my time towards coursework as I’m at the cusp of finally taking my test (I have been studying, but not as much admittedly as I should have). I also have another gift drawing in the works that I am going to postpone just a tiny bit longer until after I pass my certification test so that I can spend the proper amount of time and effort on it that it deserves. Especially given I had already finished it, but thought it wasn’t good enough so I am re-doing it haha.
Skoczny if you’re reading this, I apologize for getting yours last, especially since I promised you a drawing first haha. Please know it will be worth it I promise!!! <3
Also I need to message people back thoroughly as I haven’t had the chance too yet, especially one fellow my best friend ever who I still haven’t sent a proper reply to after they had sent me a gift *arrrhg* I will message you soon!!!!
Anywho… on to the drawing!!!
In a humble motel residing in South Dakota off the main roads, the Fort Coyote Motor Inn Motel was experiencing… trouble in trying to find a suitable hire for the “Front Desk Clerk” opening. Now the issue wasn’t that such a remote Motel couldn’t find someone to apply, it’s that whoever decided it was a “good idea” to post the position on every conceivable job listing website on the world wide web with promises of “exposure” in the social media space didn’t account for the torrential flood of applicants from doing so. Now Milton and with the help of Itasca, Pieper, and Ollie - have to sort out ALL the applicants and figure out who they’re willing to actually interview vs those who they’ll disregard with a simple “This position has been filled, thank you for your time!” email XD
Of course, Milton who does the brunt of the work managing the motel is front and center trying to sort out the darn papers… wait and why are there paper resumes??? My guess is the motor inn isn’t equipped with enough computers so Milton being the old school dog that he is decided to print out EVERY SINGLE application instead so that he could sort them out manually by paw a custom he is used to - and I’m pretty sure Ollie’s Thinkpad is the majority source of ALL the computing power in that motel! They probably spent all their budget on black ink for their printer - or toner haha. Pieper is trying his best to help out, but his friend Itasca the Husky is much too focused on getting video footage on his old Panasonic camcorder for his influencer shenanigans.
Ollie with his business background is trying his best to pull out the smarts of being an Australian Shepherd into the mess of chaos that surrounds the motel “task force” but it’s hard nonetheless. Itasca and Pieper - despite their track record with the motel in doing some crazy outlandish things for content are still capable of putting their brains together and help out the business that has given them so much to film so far. Broken clocks right twice a day or something lmao. Milton then has to find someone who not only fits the bill perfectly for the front desk clerk (and relieves him of that position so he can focus on other motel duties), isn’t “overly qualified”, can work long hours, and of course handle the occasional incidents that happen at this motor inn. Like I don’t know… another Dalmatian that engages in scientific tomfoolery resulting in things such as literal macro wolves being on property XD
Cut to the outside - Dr. Dalmatianstein and Dr. WolfPoint are atop a giant wolf, the result of another "successful" experiment from the Dalmatian. Not for glory, not for finding a ground breaking breakthrough in science, or to show off his knowledge, but rather the Dalmatian’s reasoning for turning a regular feral wolf into a giant one was so that Dr. WolfPoint could gain easy access to the telephone towers and cabling so he could efficiently work on them without having to suit up in a harness and require specialized safety equipment! Dr. WolfPoint has seen much worse in his lifetime, so being a wolf himself and working in a demanding industry I’m sure this is just another day on the job for him haha. The patrons who pass through and stay at the motor inn just have to deal with all the dealings of science and influencer mishaps that occur - they make for great sight seeing in of themselves!
Whoever they decide to hire, they’ll be a great addition to the team and find out quickly that working at the Fort Coyote Motor Inn Motel isn’t going to be anything like they’ve experienced before :D

I worked on this on and off throughout the week and had a lot of fun trying to bring Dr. WolfPoint’s characters to life in a way that suited them and also made sense in regards to the story that he is building! The best art of them I could find with ALL of them in the same room was this one https://www.furaffinity.net/view/63696276/ so I based the drawing on it. I also of course tried to get Dr. WolfPoint himself and Dr. Dalmatianstein in view too - so ontop of the macro wolf they went XD The recent ref sheets he made of the characters HELPED A TON and I'm sure they are proving invaluable to him as he works on his newest animation project!
I’ve enjoyed watching his animations and they are inspiring for me to start some animations of my own too. I’ve always wanted to make little animated series esk videos and a lot of my young furry days were spent watching animated stories on wolves and dogs. Too bad a lot the larger animation projects I remember have long since stopped being updated, and a ton of the stories are left on cliff hangers still XD His animations remind me of older YouTube when people were making content for the fun of it and had a lot of passion for the thing they were making, so much so they take me back to the mindset of such and it gives me this warm happy fuzzy feeling! If I had discovered his channel way back when - I probably would have drawn fan art in my sketchbook instead of whatever homework I had to do back then as his animated vidoes are exactly the kind of content younger me would’ve ate up back in the day XD
Dr-WolfPoint has been super kind whenever he shoots a comment - and his knowledge of TECHNOLOGY (you gotta read it in the way Patrick says it in that one episode) and film photography make it fun to converse about it and I’m super happy after searching for a while that he is finally able to settle down with a new job and in his new home! Plus as he mentions it’s giving him time to work on his animations - so I look forward to them!
I have like… ONE wolf plush to my name and he sits upon the dashboard of my car. The desert sun has been so brutal to him, his back is BLEACHED and his fur is whiter on top than on his belly XD Compare that to the sheer amount of wolf/husky related plushies that Dr. WolfPoint has - it’s making me want to buy at least one giant wolf plush too and a Minecraft wolf plush as well XD
I had to take some liberties in the eye colors of the characters and I hope they aren't canonically wrong Dr. WolfPoint, and if they are please let me know and I'll fix them :D
Now back to my networking studies, subnetting, dynamic routing protocols, and WLAN knowledge of which is there is a TON to memorize haha.
Stay safe!

Awesome drawing, Thank you Doggedly. You captured the chaos of their unique interviewing style at the Fort Coyote Motor Inn Motel, between the online applications that are printed out and being processed by hand in the scene to Ollie trying to utilize his big corporate world skills. I really like how active the scene is, with Pieper reading a resume, the Milton the Manager and Ollie conversing about the hiring push and Itasca filming the latest video for his “Sled Dog Team” of followers. The insert of Dr. WolfPoint, Dr. Dalmatianstein, and the feral macro wolf outside in the parking lot is a great touch too.
It’s been a fun cartoon to work on again, and I am hoping to finish rendering out the last few pieces and getting it all edited together into a finished episode.
I am glad you enjoyed the cartoons, when I started making them, I wanted to create the content that I liked seeing on old Youtube where the content was largely created out of passion to share a story an idea. It is always pleasure to discuss photography and tech both analog and digital with you as well, the photography has been a long standing interest of mine.
I’ve got a tiny wolf plush who sits in the little alcove by the stereo on my truck, though even in the upper midwest the sun has faded his tag slightly, but he’s been in both of my daily driver trucks now.
Thanks again for the wonderful gift art. I like the liberties taken with the eye colors, since the style I normally draw them in doesn’t always include that detail.
Best of luck with the networking studies, its complicated, but fascinating to learn about, I've worked in both the data layers and currently down to the physical media layer, it's amazing to see how it all works together to create the necessary connections for the modern internet.
