I wanted to show a moment during Ark's long journey towards recovery on which he is back home and being accompanied by his brothers as they spend the first night at their house on Ark's bedroom.
Bleiz is busy cooking breakfast for himself after having finished making a meal for Kyle. Said mentioned young white wolf is currently sitting at the dinner table already eating what his father made him. At the time he also waits for such parent too, whom after a few minutes' finishes cooking and joins such son at the table. Both father and son spend a bit of time eating before getting ready to go to the hospital. At the time they are chatting as well.
“Is grandpa and grandma coming tomorrow?”
“Aye kiddo. There are happy that your brother is out of the hospital as they looking forward for it as much as we do.”
“What about the rest of the family?”
“All your cousins are coming with them as well and staying for a while since they are on school vacation. But only them as your aunts and uncles are working”
“Ok”
“Finish up your meal son as we gotta go soon”
Kyle nods at his father and both wolves finish eating their breakfast soon, and the two get ready and dressed up. Later, the two are on the road as Bleiz drives towards Kyon hospital. The road to it and traffic is normal at the time as things have calmed down as two months have passed since the city was in a sort of shakeup due to the shocking incident that happened at Kane school. They are getting close to the medical center after a while as Kyle looks at the road and the large building ahead. The white wolf reminisces that even the student vigil that had set up due to the school incident is no longer there. Reasonably though as long a time has passed and everyone like himself who got injured in such an incident had been discharged long ago.
The only one remaining at the hospital was Ark due to his temporal paralysis, which thankfully was finally getting out. Even so, Kyle lightly touches his left shoulder where he had the scar left when he had gotten injured as well, but all was now a mere memory. Kyle was doing alright at the time and had thankfully hadn’t been left with mental trauma. All he is looking forward to is for Ark to be at home as should as the white wolf was sad that such an older brother had to spend time at the hospital. He did know why of this as his parents carefully explained the situation and reason, which the white wolf understood, but even so didn’t like leaving Ark in there. Thankfully, the necessary rehabilitation time and therapy Ark had to undergo while there had been completed, which is also one of the reasons he is being discharged.
At the time Bleiz also noticed the moment the white wolf touched his shoulder since Kyle was on the backseat and mentioned father caught sight of such through the rear-view mirror.
“You alright back there, kiddo?”
“I’m ok, dad. Just happy that my brother is coming home”
“Indeed, he is also looking forward to be at home as well”
Bleiz does not further question his son about him unconsciously touching the scar the young one had on his shoulder because he knows well that the white wolf hadn’t been, psychologic speaking, left with nightmares or traumas due to what he had to go through when he was also injured 2 months ago. Contrary to what had happened to other school students who at the time needed counseling to help them deal with the situation. Mainly one of the reasons why Kyle hadn’t gone through that though is because, according to his psychologist, due to the abuse he had experienced from his biological father, the young wolf is a bit more resilient and mentally strong thanks to Blake, given that his brother had been protecting him for the past 12 years. And in doing so, gave Kyle the strength needed to continue living on.
In any case, both canines reach the parking lot and after parking nearby entrance doors. They get out of the car and go inside the hospital. Inside they head towards the elevator and from there head towards the 6th floor. Bleiz and Kyle reach such a floor and head towards room #607 where Ark is waiting for them, along with Kira and Blake. As they reach such a room, Bleiz spots a familiar face who is standing outside the room and looking very happy and joyful as she seems to have been recording something through her cellphone. Such a person is his mother, who Kyle also sees as well. The brown fur colored bear spots his son and grandson as well.
“Hi grandma”
“Hello to you as well sweetie. Good to see you.”
“Hi mom. What’s going on?”
“Oh, nothing hun. Just gratefully starting the day after having witnessed some very good news.”
“?”
“Come inside and you will see”
The werewolf is a bit confused, but does as he’s told, and so he and Kyle go inside the room. Inside, he sees that Ark, Kira, and Blake are not alone as Ark’s physiatrist is also there. Bleiz wonders why this since they already met up with the dark-blue furry mouse yesterday to discuss Ark’s therapy, length, and sessions that he would need to undergo through in the upcoming months. He also sees Kira, who is seemingly happy and somewhat hugging Ark, who seems relieved for some reason. Blake on the other hand also seems content as he crouches down to greet Kyle, whom in return hugs him as he salutes him as well.
At the time Bleiz still wonders what is going on given the scene.
“What’s going on, Kira? Did something happen?”
“Aye hun. Ark has something to show you this morning. Go ahead sweetie, show your father”
Bleiz looks at their son who now nods at his mother and then looks down at himself, specifically at his feet which his father stares at as well. Ark breathes slowly as he seemingly is trying to do something, yet nothing happens, despite the young werewolf effortlessly trying hard to do something. At that moment Dr. Jaq speaks up as he helps Ark.
“It’s alright Ark. Ease down and breathe. You can do this again as you were able to a while ago. Just calm down as there is no rush or pressure”
Ark nods to the doctor and takes a deep breath as he focuses now. He stares down at his feet again. Moments later Bleiz looks at what his son wanted to show him as the young werewolf weakly is able to move the toes on his left foot first. It's a low and subtle movement of such but continuous as Ark controls such mobility. He then shifts to his right foot, which is also able to move, lightly and subtle, but its constant as the young male has finally regained some control and mobility down there. Bleiz is content with such progress as it’s something that the physiatrist and his team have been waiting for as well, not to mention Ark’s family too.
“Good going kiddo. You are doing great as you wanted and its proof you are on the road to recovery”
“Thanks Dad, just wish could show more though”
“There’s no need to push yourself further right now Ark. Remember what we discussed. You will eventually be able to regain movement later as you continue therapy. But that flicker and being able to move your toes is more than proof enough that you will be able to get back on your feet. For now, go home, rest and spend time with your family”
Ark simply nods at Dr. Jaq as he knows he will definitely get better.
“We will talk on Monday to discuss how the therapy will change and increase intensity needed, so it adjusts to your current progress. In the meantime, take care.”
Dr. Jaq leaves the room while Ark and his family get ready to leave as Blake helps him get dressed and else. In the meantime, Bleiz steps out of the room as he intends to go to the account office to pay the hospital bill. However, in the hallway he is approached by his mother who’s still nearby.
“Where are you going sweetie?”
“Just heading to check on the medical bill and settle such expenses”
“Oh, don’t worry about that as we already took care of the costs.”
“What do you mean? You and dad took care of the bill?”
“More like me, your dad, and Kira’s parents all contributed to cover the costs. We wanted to help out a bit since Ark still has go to therapy in the upcoming months”
“You all didn’t need to do that”
“We are family honey so don’t worry about that. Now go home instead as Ark is looking forward to being out of here.”
“Will do, let Dad know about Ark’s progress too as he will be happy to know what happened.”
“Am already ahead of you as I sent him a video recording showing such. Your father said it’s the best news he has gotten so far today. He said that he would also show such video to Dash”
“Alright. Thanks mom and talk to you later”
Tali nods to her son as she walks away as she is needed on another floor. In the meantime, Bleiz returns to where his family is on where Ark has changed into his clothes and being helped by Blake as such older sibling is finishing putting some tennis shoes on Ark’s feet. After a bit everyone is ready to leave and glad to do this after long. As to Bleiz approaches Ark and picks him up to carry his son to the car. And so, the family exits the hospital and once settled on the car drive away towards home.
Ark looks content to put a part of this journey behind for the time being and also happy to see the outside and the city after so long. He missed being out and gathering in some place with his friends as they hang out as usual. Though for now this will be a difficult or not easy thing to do though, he knows things will return to normal later on. But for now, also knows he needs to take things lightly at home too as he would have to adjust not able to move freely as he is used to. Hopefully will figure things out on the upcoming days, though his physiatrist and family did told Ark that they made changes at home and on his room that should help him move around as needed.
Such changes made differ throughout the house like removing rugs and rearranging furniture, so there is enough space for him to move later on without much difficulty or obstacles. Other changes made in his room are also no rugs or furniture that are much around there, so he has a lot of space. His bathroom has also been modified with non-slippery tiles, grab bars inside the shower room, as well as a shower chair being installed so that he can sit and bathe without any issue. Sounds like a lot of changes indeed been made that he would need to see and figure on how to use, but Ark knows is for the best for now till he gets back on his feet and mobility.
In any case, the family finally reaches their home as Ark gazes at the neighborhood as well. Once they park on the driveway in front of the garage, they exit and each go inside the house as open the front door. The last ones out are Bleiz and Ark as the werewolf reach inside to pick such son and carry him inside their home. They soon go inside which Ark cherishes and looks at it, noticing that furniture and else have been moved or been changed given the adjustment needed made for him.
“There definitely been changes made as you guys told me. And yet also it feels a long time since I been here”
“It's been 2 months kiddo, so indeed a lot has passed. The good thing is that you are finally back. For now, let’s get set you up on your room so you can settle down”
Ark nods to his father who carries him through the hallway as the young werewolf keeps looking around, noticing more changes around. Soon his father carries him upstairs where main bedrooms are located belonging to his parents, his room and finally Kyle and Blake’s room. Once upstairs, his father goes inside Ark’s room which the young werewolf certainly missed being here after long, yet notices that they more changes in here as well because he notices what appear to be resting chairs that are placed on opposite sides of the room. Such chairs are wide and long too as they cover a good amount of space, but only on the corner, so there is still space around to move. Yet he is confused as to why such furniture has been set up in his room.
In any case, Bleiz places Ark on his bed who accommodates and sits in there wondering about the chairs which his family notices as they are also standing in the room.
“Hmm what’s with the new furniture here?”
“It’s basically here so that someone can settle in during the night and accompany while you sleep, fuzzball”
“Thanks, I guess. But I don’t think that’s necessary. Besides I don’t want to trouble any of you guys more than already have been at the hospital”
“You are not troubling anyone, sweetie. But you do know that for now someone does need to stay with you, at least during the night in case you need something. And until you are able to move more freely on your own. Remember that Dr. Jaq said this is another needed change since you are no longer at the hospital where you were being helped by the staff”
“I understand mom, but it’s just that it feels like I am still there, since I’ll still be accompanied by any of you.”
“But you are not there anymore kiddo. You’re here, and this is just an adjustment for now, at least. Besides, you showed that improving so later on is a matter of time before you can be independent and on your own again. For now, just take it easy and let us help you.”
“Dad is right fuzzball, all of this is just temporary you know”
Ark nods a bit, not sure how to feel about such change in his bedroom. At that moment though a young white wolf speaks up as well as wanted Ark to know why there are two chairs in his room as he notices his older brother unsure about being accompanied at night.
“Umm the other reason why there is another chair is because, I thought we could have some sort of sleepover tonight before our cousins come in tomorrow big brother.”
“Sleepover?”
“Yeah, just hang out here with the three of us tonight at least. Is that ok?”
A sincere and innocent white wolf looks at his older brother who smiles at such an idea as didn’t know Kyle wanted to spend time like that with his brothers.
“It's ok Kyle. I just didn’t know you wanted to do that, and happy to have sleepover just the three of us.”
Kyle smiles back as Ark appreciates the gesture and activity the young wolf wanted to do this before the house is literally becomes a den of wolves.
“Now that has been cleared up, will let you settle down sport, so you can rest as well”
Ark nods at his father and after this his parents and brothers exit his room. The young werewolf gazes around before helping himself get on the bed as he wants to lay down for a while. He lifts himself carefully and pulls his legs up on the bed. He then continues pulling himself back till he is in the middle of his comfy bed. He then lays down and gazes at the roof and window as he had no idea how much he would miss doing this after long. He then closes his eyes a bit as he rests a bit and relaxes. A bit later, he feels his phone vibrating and chiming as he is being messaged.
He gets his phone out of one of his pant pockets and notices that Jules is texting him. And so, both youngsters start messaging one another as Ark tells Jules about everything that has happened so far, as well as the unexpected progress made today. He also tells her he is still a bit on the defensive regarding being accompanied at night as he felt it was not needed, and that also didn’t want to bother his parents or siblings with such obligation.
At the time Ark notices Jules typing and then deleting such, then typing and deleting whatever she was typing. The feline oddly repeated this over and over which puzzled Ark.
“Something wrong Jules?”
“Oh nothing. Hey, do you know if one can like change the size of the text on a message or make the letters even bigger?”
Ark raised an eyebrow as he was confused at whatever his friend was doing.
“I don’t think there is a way to do whatever you want to do Jules”
“Hmm, maybe I should get a banner then”
“You lost me Jules. What are you trying to do”
“I just wanted a way to tell you in very big words that you are still “ONE BIG DUMMY”
Ark frowns knowing he is about to get scolded by Jules now.
“Seriously Ark. Your family is just helping you out and adjusting too like you need to, at least for now. Being watched over by one of them just to make sure you are ok at night is also a neat detail and that I also think is necessary. You might need something at night and also don’t forget that little illness of yours. From what I know you haven’t been sick in months, and you might at night or not, but it's better that you are not alone when it happens.”
“I guess you are right. Now that you mentioned it, I haven’t gotten ill in a while”
“Course am right dummy. Also, it's lovely detail that Kyle wants to have a sleep over tonight before all your cousins arrive tomorrow. He definitely is a sweet kid, you know. Lastly and as much as it pains me to agree with a certain big oaf brother of yours, this is all temporary Ark. You are going to be ok later on and won’t need to be supervised at night. Its all like your physiatrist said as you are certainly on the road towards recovery”
“Understood”
“I hope you do. So, knock it off with the attitude, rest and enjoy the well-earned time with your family. Which by the way is, certainly gonna get bigger tomorrow. You are definitely gonna be full packed XD. I don’t know you all gonna fit in that house”
“I think will manage well Jules”
“If you say so. You can always, I don’t know, make a certain grumpy black wolf vacate and put him out in the backyard.”
Jules sends multiple laughing emojis at that time as she certainly likes to pick a fight with Blake or bother the latter as can even if he wasn’t chatting with them or present.
“I don’t think that will be necessary either. We will be ok as there is enough space on the guest rooms downstairs.”
“Alright. By the way at what time are your grandparents arriving along with your cousins?”
“I think they will be arriving in the afternoon, if not mistaken.”
“Got it. I will see during the week then once you have settled”
“You are welcome to come tomorrow, Jules. I mean they all know you in here”
“Think you should enjoy time with the family first Ark. Besides we have enough time to meet up later on”
“Understood and thank you for the help.”

Ark smiles and is in a better mood thanks to the feline. Later on, as he continues being the bed, the canine spends time messaging with his friends as he catches them up about today and who say it's good news that he finally has gained some mobility. At the same time, he also receives multiple messages from his cousins, along with some, which come from his aunts and uncles. They all congratulate Ark and praise that he has gained some control over his legs. At the time he finds out that they all knew about this because Bleiz’s father sent the video, the one he had received earlier, to Kira’s father. Who in turn sent it to his sons, grandkids, and the rest of the family.
Such grandfather also expressed being content that Ark was moving forward and improving. His grandmother is also happy and says that they can’t wait to see him and the family as well. Ark is also looking forward in seeing his cousins and grandparents.
A bit later in the afternoon, Ark is enjoying a nice warm lunch that his parents made. The werewolf certainly missed eating at home and also missed eating what his mother or father would usually make as both knew how to prepare some very delicious dishes. He is currently still in his room as Kira brought him lunch a while ago. At such time he is also watching some tv to pass the time. At the time he is not alone though Kyle and Blake are also spending time in his room as well. Normally they would all eat downstairs but of course given the circumstances they change such dynamic. Besides, the siblings enjoy spending time like this in cozy surroundings, which is much better than a hospital. Additionally, while the 3 wolves are upstairs, his parents are somewhat busy cleaning the guest rooms downstairs.
They just prep them a bit for their nephews and also for their grandparents as well. Not that there is much to do, except tidy things up a bit and clean. After Kira and Bleiz are done, they go upstairs to check on their younglings who at the time are chilling and talking a bit. Meanwhile Kyle is entertained watching a movie on tv as he comfily lays on Ark’s bed. In the meantime, Blake is settled on one of the sleeping chairs as he tests it. The furniture is sturdy but comfy as he lays down on it for a while.
“You boys seem to be entertained in here”
“We are dad. There is a very good movie on tv”
“I can see that kiddo. How are you doing there, Ark?”
“Am alright dad. Just glad to be on my bed after long. Didn’t know how much I missed all of this, but then again 2 months is a long time. I am also looking forward seeing my cousins and grandparents tomorrow. By the way they all say hi”
“They certainly are excited too. It's been a long time since they have been here for vacation. So today at least you have some quiet time before the house becomes a den”
“It is alright mom. I am looking forward to spend time with the family. I just hope we can figure out what we can do given my mobility”
“It will be alright Ark. They know that well and besides you guys normally are used to spending time playing or else here. Dr. Jaq also said that it be ok you go out somewhere and stay chatting somewhere like on the mall to pass the time as it be good you return to do normal stuff as can”
“What about you Blake, sweetie. You ok in that chair?”
“Yeah, it’s alright mom. Its decent and better than the couches at the hospital anyway. It be better now as we accompany fuzzball over here tonight”
Ark chuckles and is happy spending time with his parents and siblings like these after so long. In any case after this, several hours pass after till it's late at night and on which Ark and his brothers remain in his room doing different stuff. Well mostly him and Kyle who are watching movies on the tv while Blake was on the sleeping chair all while checking his phone. They already had dinner as well and their parents are spending time in their own room at the time. By that time an action movie was streaming, with Ark getting very sleepy, even though its just 10 pm. And so, the young werewolf lay on his bed to take a nap.
As the movie continues, Ark is somewhat in a deep sleep. Kyle quietly finishes watching the movie as can as also the only light on the room is that coming from the tv screen. Before falling asleep, Ark told his younger brother that he is ok that he finishes watching the movie as there is enough space on the bed, so they both be there. As time passes, a somewhat snoozing canine turns sideways to sleep in such a position as he slowly shifts his torso and gently tries to move his waist and left leg up. Kyle notices this and moves a bit but remains still as he observes his older brother.
Blake notices such movement as well and sort of gets up to see if Ark needs help moving; however, such sibling already knows what he is doing and knows his siblings well enough to know they react if they see him trying to move his waist.
“It's fine guys, don’t worry as I know how to move my legs carefully. Am just shifting to the side”
Blake only watches his brother who gently pushes his left leg up and forward till it leaning up against his right leg. A sleepy Ark then shifts to his right with satisfaction before snoozing off again. And so, his other siblings settle down as well. After the movie ends, a young white wolf turns the tv off and quietly slips off the bed making sure not to wake Ark. Blake watches him only as the young sibling stealthily moves across the room and onto the other sleeping bed set in front of the tv. Kyle gets on it and settles as he covers himself with a blanket. He also picks up his game consolo as he wants to spend some time playing a certain mission; as he is a bit stuck on a Fire Emblem videogame.
At that same time, Blake settles down again as he browses the internet. The two siblings entertain themselves as they are not tired yet since it's still a bit early into the night. Also, after a while, their parents appear as they both want to check on their sons. Kira and Bleiz quietly stand on the doorway though as they notice a sleeping Ark who already dozed off long ago and who is softly snoring a bit as he is in a very deep sleep. Blake notices this as he looks at Ark as well.
“He fell asleep a while ago”
“It's better that he sleeps as he needs a ton as the doctor said. How are you guys doing over there though?”
“Am good here pops. No worries”
“I am also doing good, dad. These chairs are comfy”
“Alright will call it a night then. Have a good night you three”
Blake and Kyle nods at his father, meanwhile Kira approaches each of her boys and kisses them on the forehead while also saying good night. The she-wolf then also slowly approaches a sleeping wolf and gently also kiss on the forehead. Bleiz and Kira then leave the room while closing the bed room door.
After this, Kyle and Blake spend a bit more time awake till they both get sleepy as well. Kyle gets tired first and so he turns his console off and settles down as he says good night to his older brother, says the same to him. After the white wolf is snoozing, Blake follows after as he gazes at Ark and Kyle for a bit to make sure both are asleep. After this, the wolf puts his phone down and lays his head on the pillow. He quickly dozes off after a few minutes.
All the wolf siblings all are now snoozing and happy to be able to be all together at home with their parents as things are somewhat returning to normal.

Bleiz looks at their son who now nods at his mother and then looks down at himself, specifically at his feet which his father stares at as well. Ark breathes slowly as he seemingly is trying to do something, yet nothing happens, despite the young werewolf effortlessly trying hard to do something. At that moment Dr. Jaq speaks up as he helps Ark.
“It’s alright Ark. Ease down and breathe. You can do this again as you were able to a while ago. Just calm down as there is no rush or pressure”
Ark nods to the doctor and takes a deep breath as he focuses now. He stares down at his feet again. Moments later Bleiz looks at what his son wanted to show him as the young werewolf weakly is able to move the toes on his left foot first. It's a low and subtle movement of such but continuous as Ark controls such mobility. He then shifts to his right foot, which is also able to move, lightly and subtle, but its constant as the young male has finally regained some control and mobility down there. Bleiz is content with such progress as it’s something that the physiatrist and his team have been waiting for as well, not to mention Ark’s family too.
“Good going kiddo. You are doing great as you wanted and its proof you are on the road to recovery”
“Thanks Dad, just wish could show more though”
“There’s no need to push yourself further right now Ark. Remember what we discussed. You will eventually be able to regain movement later as you continue therapy. But that flicker and being able to move your toes is more than proof enough that you will be able to get back on your feet. For now, go home, rest and spend time with your family”
Ark simply nods at Dr. Jaq as he knows he will definitely get better.
“We will talk on Monday to discuss how the therapy will change and increase intensity needed, so it adjusts to your current progress. In the meantime, take care.”
Dr. Jaq leaves the room while Ark and his family get ready to leave as Blake helps him get dressed and else. In the meantime, Bleiz steps out of the room as he intends to go to the account office to pay the hospital bill. However, in the hallway he is approached by his mother who’s still nearby.
“Where are you going sweetie?”
“Just heading to check on the medical bill and settle such expenses”
“Oh, don’t worry about that as we already took care of the costs.”
“What do you mean? You and dad took care of the bill?”
“More like me, your dad, and Kira’s parents all contributed to cover the costs. We wanted to help out a bit since Ark still has go to therapy in the upcoming months”
“You all didn’t need to do that”
“We are family honey so don’t worry about that. Now go home instead as Ark is looking forward to being out of here.”
“Will do, let Dad know about Ark’s progress too as he will be happy to know what happened.”
“Am already ahead of you as I sent him a video recording showing such. Your father said it’s the best news he has gotten so far today. He said that he would also show such video to Dash”
“Alright. Thanks mom and talk to you later”
Tali nods to her son as she walks away as she is needed on another floor. In the meantime, Bleiz returns to where his family is on where Ark has changed into his clothes and being helped by Blake as such older sibling is finishing putting some tennis shoes on Ark’s feet. After a bit everyone is ready to leave and glad to do this after long. As to Bleiz approaches Ark and picks him up to carry his son to the car. And so, the family exits the hospital and once settled on the car drive away towards home.
Ark looks content to put a part of this journey behind for the time being and also happy to see the outside and the city after so long. He missed being out and gathering in some place with his friends as they hang out as usual. Though for now this will be a difficult or not easy thing to do though, he knows things will return to normal later on. But for now, also knows he needs to take things lightly at home too as he would have to adjust not able to move freely as he is used to. Hopefully will figure things out on the upcoming days, though his physiatrist and family did told Ark that they made changes at home and on his room that should help him move around as needed.
Such changes made differ throughout the house like removing rugs and rearranging furniture, so there is enough space for him to move later on without much difficulty or obstacles. Other changes made in his room are also no rugs or furniture that are much around there, so he has a lot of space. His bathroom has also been modified with non-slippery tiles, grab bars inside the shower room, as well as a shower chair being installed so that he can sit and bathe without any issue. Sounds like a lot of changes indeed been made that he would need to see and figure on how to use, but Ark knows is for the best for now till he gets back on his feet and mobility.
In any case, the family finally reaches their home as Ark gazes at the neighborhood as well. Once they park on the driveway in front of the garage, they exit and each go inside the house as open the front door. The last ones out are Bleiz and Ark as the werewolf reach inside to pick such son and carry him inside their home. They soon go inside which Ark cherishes and looks at it, noticing that furniture and else have been moved or been changed given the adjustment needed made for him.
“There definitely been changes made as you guys told me. And yet also it feels a long time since I been here”
“It's been 2 months kiddo, so indeed a lot has passed. The good thing is that you are finally back. For now, let’s get set you up on your room so you can settle down”
Ark nods to his father who carries him through the hallway as the young werewolf keeps looking around, noticing more changes around. Soon his father carries him upstairs where main bedrooms are located belonging to his parents, his room and finally Kyle and Blake’s room. Once upstairs, his father goes inside Ark’s room which the young werewolf certainly missed being here after long, yet notices that they more changes in here as well because he notices what appear to be resting chairs that are placed on opposite sides of the room. Such chairs are wide and long too as they cover a good amount of space, but only on the corner, so there is still space around to move. Yet he is confused as to why such furniture has been set up in his room.
In any case, Bleiz places Ark on his bed who accommodates and sits in there wondering about the chairs which his family notices as they are also standing in the room.
“Hmm what’s with the new furniture here?”
“It’s basically here so that someone can settle in during the night and accompany while you sleep, fuzzball”
“Thanks, I guess. But I don’t think that’s necessary. Besides I don’t want to trouble any of you guys more than already have been at the hospital”
“You are not troubling anyone, sweetie. But you do know that for now someone does need to stay with you, at least during the night in case you need something. And until you are able to move more freely on your own. Remember that Dr. Jaq said this is another needed change since you are no longer at the hospital where you were being helped by the staff”
“I understand mom, but it’s just that it feels like I am still there, since I’ll still be accompanied by any of you.”
“But you are not there anymore kiddo. You’re here, and this is just an adjustment for now, at least. Besides, you showed that improving so later on is a matter of time before you can be independent and on your own again. For now, just take it easy and let us help you.”
“Dad is right fuzzball, all of this is just temporary you know”
Ark nods a bit, not sure how to feel about such change in his bedroom. At that moment though a young white wolf speaks up as well as wanted Ark to know why there are two chairs in his room as he notices his older brother unsure about being accompanied at night.
“Umm the other reason why there is another chair is because, I thought we could have some sort of sleepover tonight before our cousins come in tomorrow big brother.”
“Sleepover?”
“Yeah, just hang out here with the three of us tonight at least. Is that ok?”
A sincere and innocent white wolf looks at his older brother who smiles at such an idea as didn’t know Kyle wanted to spend time like that with his brothers.
“It's ok Kyle. I just didn’t know you wanted to do that, and happy to have sleepover just the three of us.”
Kyle smiles back as Ark appreciates the gesture and activity the young wolf wanted to do this before the house is literally becomes a den of wolves.
“Now that has been cleared up, will let you settle down sport, so you can rest as well”
Ark nods at his father and after this his parents and brothers exit his room. The young werewolf gazes around before helping himself get on the bed as he wants to lay down for a while. He lifts himself carefully and pulls his legs up on the bed. He then continues pulling himself back till he is in the middle of his comfy bed. He then lays down and gazes at the roof and window as he had no idea how much he would miss doing this after long. He then closes his eyes a bit as he rests a bit and relaxes. A bit later, he feels his phone vibrating and chiming as he is being messaged.
He gets his phone out of one of his pant pockets and notices that Jules is texting him. And so, both youngsters start messaging one another as Ark tells Jules about everything that has happened so far, as well as the unexpected progress made today. He also tells her he is still a bit on the defensive regarding being accompanied at night as he felt it was not needed, and that also didn’t want to bother his parents or siblings with such obligation.
At the time Ark notices Jules typing and then deleting such, then typing and deleting whatever she was typing. The feline oddly repeated this over and over which puzzled Ark.
“Something wrong Jules?”
“Oh nothing. Hey, do you know if one can like change the size of the text on a message or make the letters even bigger?”
Ark raised an eyebrow as he was confused at whatever his friend was doing.
“I don’t think there is a way to do whatever you want to do Jules”
“Hmm, maybe I should get a banner then”
“You lost me Jules. What are you trying to do”
“I just wanted a way to tell you in very big words that you are still “ONE BIG DUMMY”
Ark frowns knowing he is about to get scolded by Jules now.
“Seriously Ark. Your family is just helping you out and adjusting too like you need to, at least for now. Being watched over by one of them just to make sure you are ok at night is also a neat detail and that I also think is necessary. You might need something at night and also don’t forget that little illness of yours. From what I know you haven’t been sick in months, and you might at night or not, but it's better that you are not alone when it happens.”
“I guess you are right. Now that you mentioned it, I haven’t gotten ill in a while”
“Course am right dummy. Also, it's lovely detail that Kyle wants to have a sleep over tonight before all your cousins arrive tomorrow. He definitely is a sweet kid, you know. Lastly and as much as it pains me to agree with a certain big oaf brother of yours, this is all temporary Ark. You are going to be ok later on and won’t need to be supervised at night. Its all like your physiatrist said as you are certainly on the road towards recovery”
“Understood”
“I hope you do. So, knock it off with the attitude, rest and enjoy the well-earned time with your family. Which by the way is, certainly gonna get bigger tomorrow. You are definitely gonna be full packed XD. I don’t know you all gonna fit in that house”
“I think will manage well Jules”
“If you say so. You can always, I don’t know, make a certain grumpy black wolf vacate and put him out in the backyard.”
Jules sends multiple laughing emojis at that time as she certainly likes to pick a fight with Blake or bother the latter as can even if he wasn’t chatting with them or present.
“I don’t think that will be necessary either. We will be ok as there is enough space on the guest rooms downstairs.”
“Alright. By the way at what time are your grandparents arriving along with your cousins?”
“I think they will be arriving in the afternoon, if not mistaken.”
“Got it. I will see during the week then once you have settled”
“You are welcome to come tomorrow, Jules. I mean they all know you in here”
“Think you should enjoy time with the family first Ark. Besides we have enough time to meet up later on”
“Understood and thank you for the help.”
“No problem big dummy XD. Talk to you later then and enjoy the weekend”
“Will do”
Ark smiles and is in a better mood thanks to the feline. Later on, as he continues being the bed, the canine spends time messaging with his friends as he catches them up about today and who say it's good news that he finally has gained some mobility. At the same time, he also receives multiple messages from his cousins, along with some, which come from his aunts and uncles. They all congratulate Ark and praise that he has gained some control over his legs. At the time he finds out that they all knew about this because Bleiz’s father sent the video, the one he had received earlier, to Kira’s father. Who in turn sent it to his sons, grandkids, and the rest of the family.
Such grandfather also expressed being content that Ark was moving forward and improving. His grandmother is also happy and says that they can’t wait to see him and the family as well. Ark is also looking forward in seeing his cousins and grandparents.
A bit later in the afternoon, Ark is enjoying a nice warm lunch that his parents made. The werewolf certainly missed eating at home and also missed eating what his mother or father would usually make as both knew how to prepare some very delicious dishes. He is currently still in his room as Kira brought him lunch a while ago. At such time he is also watching some tv to pass the time. At the time he is not alone though Kyle and Blake are also spending time in his room as well. Normally they would all eat downstairs but of course given the circumstances they change such dynamic. Besides, the siblings enjoy spending time like this in cozy surroundings, which is much better than a hospital. Additionally, while the 3 wolves are upstairs, his parents are somewhat busy cleaning the guest rooms downstairs.
They just prep them a bit for their nephews and also for their grandparents as well. Not that there is much to do, except tidy things up a bit and clean. After Kira and Bleiz are done, they go upstairs to check on their younglings who at the time are chilling and talking a bit. Meanwhile Kyle is entertained watching a movie on tv as he comfily lays on Ark’s bed. In the meantime, Blake is settled on one of the sleeping chairs as he tests it. The furniture is sturdy but comfy as he lays down on it for a while.
“You boys seem to be entertained in here”
“We are dad. There is a very good movie on tv”
“I can see that kiddo. How are you doing there, Ark?”
“Am alright dad. Just glad to be on my bed after long. Didn’t know how much I missed all of this, but then again 2 months is a long time. I am also looking forward seeing my cousins and grandparents tomorrow. By the way they all say hi”
“They certainly are excited too. It's been a long time since they have been here for vacation. So today at least you have some quiet time before the house becomes a den”
“It is alright mom. I am looking forward to spend time with the family. I just hope we can figure out what we can do given my mobility”
“It will be alright Ark. They know that well and besides you guys normally are used to spending time playing or else here. Dr. Jaq also said that it be ok you go out somewhere and stay chatting somewhere like on the mall to pass the time as it be good you return to do normal stuff as can”
“What about you Blake, sweetie. You ok in that chair?”
“Yeah, it’s alright mom. Its decent and better than the couches at the hospital anyway. It be better now as we accompany fuzzball over here tonight”
Ark chuckles and is happy spending time with his parents and siblings like these after so long. In any case after this, several hours pass after till it's late at night and on which Ark and his brothers remain in his room doing different stuff. Well mostly him and Kyle who are watching movies on the tv while Blake was on the sleeping chair all while checking his phone. They already had dinner as well and their parents are spending time in their own room at the time. By that time an action movie was streaming, with Ark getting very sleepy, even though its just 10 pm. And so, the young werewolf lay on his bed to take a nap.
As the movie continues, Ark is somewhat in a deep sleep. Kyle quietly finishes watching the movie as can as also the only light on the room is that coming from the tv screen. Before falling asleep, Ark told his younger brother that he is ok that he finishes watching the movie as there is enough space on the bed, so they both be there. As time passes, a somewhat snoozing canine turns sideways to sleep in such a position as he slowly shifts his torso and gently tries to move his waist and left leg up. Kyle notices this and moves a bit but remains still as he observes his older brother.
Blake notices such movement as well and sort of gets up to see if Ark needs help moving; however, such sibling already knows what he is doing and knows his siblings well enough to know they react if they see him trying to move his waist.
“It's fine guys, don’t worry as I know how to move my legs carefully. Am just shifting to the side”
Blake only watches his brother who gently pushes his left leg up and forward till it leaning up against his right leg. A sleepy Ark then shifts to his right with satisfaction before snoozing off again. And so, his other siblings settle down as well. After the movie ends, a young white wolf turns the tv off and quietly slips off the bed making sure not to wake Ark. Blake watches him only as the young sibling stealthily moves across the room and onto the other sleeping bed set in front of the tv. Kyle gets on it and settles as he covers himself with a blanket. He also picks up his game consolo as he wants to spend some time playing a certain mission; as he is a bit stuck on a Fire Emblem videogame.
At that same time, Blake settles down again as he browses the internet. The two siblings entertain themselves as they are not tired yet since it's still a bit early into the night. Also, after a while, their parents appear as they both want to check on their sons. Kira and Bleiz quietly stand on the doorway though as they notice a sleeping Ark who already dozed off long ago and who is softly snoring a bit as he is in a very deep sleep. Blake notices this as he looks at Ark as well.
“He fell asleep a while ago”
“It's better that he sleeps as he needs a ton as the doctor said. How are you guys doing over there though?”
“Am good here pops. No worries”
“I am also doing good, dad. These chairs are comfy”
“Alright will call it a night then. Have a good night you three”
Blake and Kyle nods at his father, meanwhile Kira approaches each of her boys and kisses them on the forehead while also saying good night. The she-wolf then also slowly approaches a sleeping wolf and gently also kiss on the forehead. Bleiz and Kira then leave the room while closing the bed room door.
After this, Kyle and Blake spend a bit more time awake till they both get sleepy as well. Kyle gets tired first and so he turns his console off and settles down as he says good night to his older brother, says the same to him. After the white wolf is snoozing, Blake follows after as he gazes at Ark and Kyle for a bit to make sure both are asleep. After this, the wolf puts his phone down and lays his head on the pillow. He quickly dozes off after a few minutes.
All the wolf siblings all are now snoozing and happy to be able to be all together at home with their parents as things are somewhat returning to normal.
