Once i was finished with the subnet specific trainign the previous day, i began studying just the bare basics of networking, aka: all OSI layers, their function and the units / protocols invovled in each, and also how pakcets move across a network when it's within the same LAN (switching) or when it's between different networks (routing) and what changes occur, how routing decisions are made and getting to bare bones basics of how it all works.
It really helped me to understand networking so much more to understand all of these bare bones basics, and honestly i felt quite eluciated learning all of this. donkey learnings for interviews were successfully accomplished!! <3 hee-haw!

yooo that book looks sick!! funnily enough, i had begun reading a book by the same publishing company! (O'RIley)
It's called TCP/IP Illustrated Vol 1! and this Unix Network Programming book you've mentioned honestly sounds like the perfect practical companion piece to it!
Honestly the TCP/IP Illustrated is so informative and goes SSOOO in depth to how everything works in networking (almost to a fault)
It's a bit of a sluggish read to be honest, and i dropped it some months ago, but man that book you've mentioned also sounds quite spicy and got my attention, not gonna lie !! i'll try and get to it (someday)
I'm constantly torn aparte between adulting responsibilities, wanting to keep drawing my journal, and technical stuies!! T w T never enough time and energy for all aergh
MANY THANKS for the recommendation!! :O! haww!!
