Oh, okay... The following is actually cannon: Comet the Super Horse is the companion of Super Girl. Thing is though that he isn't Kryptonian, he is Greek. A long while ago he used to be a Centaur that was in love with Circe (Same Circe that turned Odysseus' men into pigs and then in modern times is Wonder Woman's arch enemy). Circe actually loved him back but didn't want to deal with the horse part so he agreed to let her turn him fully human. But she screwed up and turned him fully horse instead. Still in love with her anyways, he stuck around until an evil wizard tried to kill Circe, which Comet saved her but the WIzard banished him to an asteroid.
Back to Modern day, the kryptonian pod that contained Super Girl was tracking after Super Man's pod and while going through space, crashed through the astroid that had Comet on it. This let him escape the astroid and fly after her where he followed around after her and joined the horse ranch she eventually worked on. Some reason, due to "Magic" he has all the powers of a Krpytonian (damn silver age comic logic) but he was trying to keep it secret until one day Super Girl started fighting against someone with kryptonite and Comet moved in to help because he is not weak to it. He is also psychic and mentally talked to Supergirl and saved her, the two becoming a team.
The two go on adventures together and eventually go to a planet of magic people and save the day. Comet takes one of their wizards aside and asks if they can make him human so he can be with Super Girl romanticly. The Wizard is like, "Oh man, sure dude, but my magic isn't as strong as Circe's so it can only happen when this comet is near earth, once it moves away, you'll go back to being a horse again." Note, there is no link to this planet to the comet or earth. It is Silveraged comic-book logic because his name is Comet.
Back on Earth, SUper Girl's human-sona was participating in a rodeo when this mysterious man showed up and woo'd her. They had a great time but he vanished, leaving her wishing for more of the guy and Comet was like, "I think I am not going to tell her..." and..
Well you maybe should read up on stuff from there. It is all very silly.
