i'm just happy to see someone over there was showering, with actual hot water and soap!

i'll interpret the soap as, acting as, Visual Shorthand for liquid soap and an exfoliating, nylon-wash cloth
washing down with bar soap, as a hairy person, can be an absolute nightmare
and if you're someone who has close dealings with animals which shed heavily, you won't have an "easy go" of things with bar soap either)
