Drawn from memory. I was drawing last night when I found myself spontaneously sketching Rags the tiger from the Crusader Rabbit cartoons. He was always a favorite.

I remember watching Rags (and Crusader Rabbit) on TV as a tyke. BTW, Rags' middle initial stands for 'Larry' (his father couldn't spell).

Probably the first tv cartoon I can remember seeing. Though it's a close thing between it and Q.T. Hush (it was made quite a bit later, but we didn't even get TV in Tasmania til 1960, and I wasn't alive yet anyway.)

Indeed, which explains why it's so stiff-looking, often with lip movements being the only actual animation. It wasn't until 1957 when Hanna-Barbera revolutionized TV cartoons with their signature limited animation processes.
