Sakuro is a former human that had an encounter with Kitsune named Ritsuko. Ritsuko had been trapped in stone statue for hundreds of years after she had "played a trick" on a local Lord.

Sakuro was rewarded for freeing Ritsuko by being transformed into a Kitsune.
