COME ON NOW, WORK THAT SUCKER TO DEATH!
Finishing the title card spurned me to start working on another piece in a similar vein, this one being based on the JP Boss music because before the era of buttrock bangers Sonic had dancefloor dance-offs.
I also ended up working out the canonicity of Ehre's Iron Leaves lookalike, Metall, so that was also a big motivator to work on this. They might have their competitive beefs with one another but when the music hits they BOTH become a problem for anyone around them.
I have most of a week making changes and trying to make the most out of this piece, my dopamine is gonna absolutely crash off a cliff when it underperforms. So much effort for what basically plays like a 14 year old's amateur AMV from like 2011, but who cares, I'm making up for lost time and cringe is dead.
Part of why this took so long wasn't even getting reintroduced to video editing, it was more that I kept going back to the base sketch and trying to make it look more dynamic. Racked my brain for a long time about how to work in some better foreshortening and positions the neck, shoulder and other body parts to make it look more dynamic.
Like the title card, there's a full video version on Bluesky, with a guest appearance from June because that goober was such a perfect fit for the voiceover segment of the song: https://bsky.app/profile/threesecon...../3mdqjubkg5s2f
