What amuses me about this work is that I used alcohol markers ranging from cheap less than a euro twinmarkers, fairly cheap Spectraad and then a little splash of expensive boy copics. You can really tell the difference in medium quality when you mix them together like this. Now naturally as a hobby artist I am hardly going to buy a full set of copics, but damn those boys feel nice. That being said, my Ohuhu Honolulu alcohol markers are also pretty nice and work fine- very comparable to copics and the difference between them does not justify the mad price difference.
I have had so much fun with art lately. After trying to become self employed and doing so many commissions I really felt drained and burned out. I did not have the passion for years after failing. And I did draw in the time in between, I was never fully detached from art, but it was kind of just fast bursts and then gone. But my joy lately has come back like I am a kid again. No pressure, no expectation. Just me and fun. I am barely even posting what I draw... which I probably should change as I do enjoy people liking or commenting on my work (I know you regulars out there, don't think I don't pay attention)- it is all just for the fun of the craft. Something about traditional work has really hooked me. That being said, my one grand art tablet could probably use some love- but it is kinda big and requires me to shift my desk space around, especially now I have art canvases and brushes and like 5 different projects all going on at the same time. Poor Furventure kind of got abandoned, haha. But I also haven't got paid in the down-time so it doesn't really matter.
I am nothing if not consistent in consistently abandoning projects.
I also accidentally made a new character who is total fire, which I should get around to posting. Let's see.
