Smile Dog was original a computer virus who ended up possessing and changing the body of a girl named Martha(Hints why he is trans male, and named Marty). But after adjusting to his new physical form, he started to feel muscle cramps and pain, using and abusing drugs to stop the pain.
He would eventually go to a type of mental hospital/place to help drug abusers recover. He would thankfully recover from his drug addiction, and would even stop feeling the pain(With him learning that it was a common symptom of digital beings gaining a physical form). He is with Lilly and Team Ruby, and despite his appearance, the kids of some of the members of Team Ruby absolutely love him.Youtube
