I have finally got time to publish this beautiful commission by the highly talented artist
IlijaMandic here too.
We are living through uncertain, restless, and often exhausting times...
Beloved family members grow older, fall ill, or quietly slip away. Work weighs heavily, and even there, change is the only constant.
Hardly a day passes without the news leaving us shaken, wondering when - and how - we lost our direction.
Even escapism no longer offers reliable shelter as it used to be: films and series feel shaped less by imagination than by profit, and the rise of AI promises efficiency, not relief.
In moments like these, imagination becomes one of the last places where resilience can still take root.
Though I have never been to Japan in real life, I often return - eyes closed - to the image of a warm spring beneath the moon, inspired by the quiet Onsen regions.
It is a place of stillness, where nothing demands attention, and silence itself feels restorative...
~~~
Moonlight rests
on still ears and closed eyes.
Nothing asks. Nothing pulls.
In the spring,
strength loosens its grip.
And in silence, we'll find peace
This is lovely. I'll actually be going out there for work, for the first time ever, in a few months possibly. I doubt I'll be able to enjoy a scene like this. One of the guys I am going with did say he'd like to visit a traditional bathhouse thought, so who knows. At any rate, this is very relaxing, as is the description you've put with it. Thank you
