Photo - Canine Plush Collection Late 2017 - Instamatic 500
This is a photo of some of my canine plushies that I had in late 2018 taken with the Kodak Instamatic 500 using Fuji 200 film reloaded into a 126 cartridge. The image was slightly overexposed as I was figuring out how to utilize this camera at the time. Since 126 film is the same width as 135, 135 can be reloaded into 126 to use these old cameras. However doing so will result in the sprocket holes of 135 film being exposed in the scene, which is an effect I find interesting. When shooting with a 126 film camera reloaded with 135 film, a blank shot will need to be taken every other frame to prevent overlap, since the 126 format used an index hole at the start of each frame that a metal finger inside the camera detected. I got around this limitation using a lens camp and setting the camera to the faster shutter speed with the smallest aperture for the blank frames needed to prevent overlap.
