Was part of the characterartxchange on DA this time and got zonkey's adorable character.
I'm actually quite proud of this. I haven't worked in Photoshop in way over a year. Glad I decided to try again :3 Critiques are very welcome!

I love the simplistic but richness of the background. The sense of motion mostly works with him being in mid-gait.
I think however the back legs look a bit off - perhaps the rear right leg the most just somehow doesn't seem to fit the motion you are trying to convey (is perhaps a touch short and too straight?).
I'd want the tail to convey a bit more of this motion; it's too straight and up in the air - actually I think it is because the hairs are arched in the opposite direction to the head and mane hair.
Love that face - it's so happy and reminds me so much of the Donkey from Shrek! =)
The blurred foreground bits around the edges are a wonderful touch!
All over I think this is a great little piece! <3
