I am a huge sucker for lantern festivals! (And it's not because I am a weeb, I swear!) Just the idea of lighting up lanterns to illuminate the night, and to ward off evil and the dead... it's so magical. The imagery always fascinated me dearly ;-;
One day I would love to see one in person! Lighting up a lantern for myself is definitely on my bucket list. Until then, I have this beautiful artwork to gaze upon <:)
The happy and joyous look on her face is exactly the same expression I would make, so I absolutely love this piece. It's also so pretty, I love the painted look of this so much!

Joke aside, this looks beautiful! And I actually do like lantern festivals too. There was one movie a while back (I think Tangled?) with one and that was genuinely my favorite part of the movie. I'd love to see one in person someday.
