Hachi continued to marvel at the little carving they had made into the pumpkin, this lightless "Jack-o-Lantern" as the kind woman had told them. They wandered into the autumn forest all while wondering what they wanted to do with the little thing. They could keep it in their shadows, but that would convert it into another shadow and it'd lose its orange coloring. Perhaps they could pput it on their head? They took off their mask and tried to put it on, but found that it was too small. Hachi looked puzzled at the carved pumpkin. They didn't want to get rid of it, it was gift from the nice lady after all, but they didn't have anywhere they could put it. Just then, Hachi felt a light tug at the back of their cape and turned around. Behind them, hand still on their cape, was a little Pancham wearing a cape made of autumn leaves and twine. "I am the Pumpkin Bear Hero!" the little Pancham remarked, "but I am missing a mask! Without it, I'm just the Bear Hero..." The pancham looked longingly at the Jack-o-Lantern in Hachi's hands but seemed to be nervous about asking something of it. Hachi cocked their head to side, looking at the adorable little hero, and it clicked. The pancham was wanting Hachi's Jack-O-Lantern, the same one Hachi wasn't sure what to do with. Hachi gave a smile and offered the pumpkin over with a smile on their face. The little Pancham's eyes brightened in response and th;ey took the pumpkin with glee. "Thank you kind citizen!" the Pancham exclaimed as they the pumpkin on their head. Even without being able to see its face anymore, Hachi could see the happiness radiating through the new pumpkin mask. "For your help, I shall let you be the one to know my secret identity! But, you must not tell anyone, okay?" Hachi nodded in agreement, they always kept their promises and would never reveal the secret identity of the Pumpkin Bear Hero to anyone. "Very good! Then I shall reveal it to you!" The pancham looks around a few times before coming close to Hachi and whispering into their ears "Its Sammy Pasher. Please keep it a secret!" With that, the Pumpkin Bear Hero went back to the stump they had been standing on a made a heroic pose while Hachi clapped on.
