Name: Kassidy of Murkmoor
Aliases: "The Swamp Witch," "That Bloody Short One," "Oi, Gnome!" (much to their irritation)
Age: Approximately 28 (allegedly)
Species: Human (allegedly)
Height: 3'6''
Occupation: Alchemist, Potion Seller, Coven Member
Origin: Murkmoor Hamlet, Ashwood Swamplands
Current Residence: Cayford, Duchy of Ashwood
The Duchy of Ashwood is a small state located on the western edge of Celixia, bordering Frasbia in its entirety. It is a land of swamps, forests, and lots of coastal scenery due to its slim peninsula-like geographical shape. A land of varied scenery also has a varied amount of peoples too. Humans are the dominant species of the realm, but beyond that there are outlier species such as orcs and bog goblins, as well as a Gnomish minority in Cayford, the largest port city, that are mostly merchants and other travelers. Aside from humanity, the other most prominent group in Ashwood are wood elves. They seem to be the original inhabitants of the area, but due to infighting, disease, and a stubborn attitude towards the other races, they have declined sharply in population.
In the swamplands of Ashwood, many witches and covens have their origins. Recruiting from villages, the hags take on students they consider having the most potential. From a humble swamp hamlet of Murkwood, they chose a diminutive figure by the name of Kassidy.
Kassidy initially seems to resemble a young child at first glance, standing only at 3'6" tall. Howver, their sunken purple-edged eyes are a telltale sign of someone who's spent far too many nights awake doing heaven knows what. Their mouth seems to have quite the set of sharp teeth too, perhaps naturally or from some witchcraft. Kassidy's hair is a dark emerald, falling short around their pale face. Bright amber-orange eyes contrast their dark hair, almost seeming to glow in spaces despite whatever lighting may be present.
Their outfit consists of a dark olive green witch hat, fit with a worn leather band. In addition, they have a matching vest with torn edges. It is adorned over a simple light brown shirt. Above both though is a lighter olive green hood drapes over the vest. Around their waist is a well-worn leather belt. It typically carries a set of potions on one side, and a bag of holding on the other. In addition, they possess leather gloves and boots, made durable for any swamp or city conditions.
Born and raised in the hamlet of Murkmoor, Kassidy was selected at a young age by the hags of the region to join the local coven. The hags blessed them with a thorough knowledge of alchemy, herbalism, and a bit of the strange magic that naturally seeps from Ashwood's marshland soil.
Upon reaching adulthood after years of training, Kassidy departed for Cayford. The port's Gnomish merchant quarter provided excellent trade opportunities for exotic ingredients, while the city's 'looser' approach to magical regulation suits their business too. As a result of their diminutive stature and choice of locale, they're often mistaken for a gnome, much to their chagrin. Despite this, they enjoy the company of gnomes nonetheless.
Kassidy speaks with a thick regional accent that distinctly marks them as hailing from the rural areas of Ashwood, of which Murkmoor was a part of. They can be a bit mischievous, cynical, and sometimes fiendish, but ultimately as a potion seller, strives for some sort of customer satisfaction at the end of the day.
